SOURCE: alarm

When you use the manual lock switch on the vehicle you should see and hear the locks pick. When you use your remote you should also see the same results. If the drivers door does not respond with either you have a bad solenoid on the drivers door.

SOURCE: alarm goes off on own

ok this could be a easy fix i had the same problem in my 02 eddie bower explorer there is 2 switches in each door one tells the computer the door is open the other tells the computer to turn on the interior light so if you notice the door ajar light come on or your interior lights stay on for a prolonged period of time then this is for sure your problem this can also be your problem if the switches are just starting to go bad they will randomly pop in and out trust me this is what happened to me the switches are unfortunatly located inside the door now (i miss the door pin switch's) but they are still easy and very inexpensive to replace check your local auto parts store for the do not go to ford as they will charge you an arm and a leg :) good luck my friend

SOURCE: Alarm in a 2004 Ford Escape

Not a complete solution but something to try .Using the key lock and unlock the vehicle from the drivers door .Some models in UK have an arm switch on the lock barrel in the door which sticks.

I have a 2005 cobalt every time I open the doors the alarm goes off I replaced the battery in keyless entry but they do not work can anyone help?

You may have accidentally broke the controller. They are fragile. The newer cars like yours automatically set the alarm when the doors are locked from keychain remote, or locking manually. New remote, $50-100.

Mustang alarm

Ford sold a Ford branded alarm through the parts department. These sometimes were a dealer installed option on new cars. Mine would randomly stop responding to the remote and I would have the same symptoms as you describe. I had it removed and the original equipment factory system still worked. Be warned, if you have the Ford "accessory" alarm, your key fobs (remotes) are different and the method to program them is different from what you will read online. You can tell if you have the system by looking at your key fob. The standard Mustang key fob is a 4 button (lock, unlock, panic, and trunk). The accessory alarm uses a 3 button remote and clicking unlock twice would pop the trunk. I really wish I had a picture of the remote because there are 3 button Ford key fobs for cars without a trunk release although I don't think you should have one on a Mustang. Long story short, if you have the accessory alarm, you can solve your problem by having it removed but you will need new 4 button key fobs to remotely lock/unlock your doors

Panic switch

The alarm is armed if keyfob is used. So you must use the fob to disarm alarm first. So someone can not unlock and open door without keyfob or alarm will be set off.

I bought a used 2007 Expedition and the door pad remote entry does not work. I have one AUTOPAGE XT-33 remote that came with the car. I turned the key in the driver's side door lock and the alarm...

I'm not sure exactly if this is what you're looking for, but if you're trying to program a new keyfob remote, follow these steps:

  1. Turn the key in the ignition from off to run 8 times within 10 seconds. You'll hear the door locks cycle (lock and unlock) three times to confirm that the car is in learning mode.
  2. Within 20 seconds, press any button on your keyfob. The locks will cycle again to confirm.
  3. Repeat step two with any additional keyfobs you wish to program.
  4. Turn the ignition off. The locks will cycle again to confirm the end of programming mode.
As for the alarm type, you would probably want to contact Ford and ask them. As for the door pad, while you're on the phone with Ford you'll need to get the factory door code. You might be lucky and find it written somewhere in/on the car or inside the book that came with the car, unless the new owner got rid of it.

Panic alarm stopped worked

hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob for about 5 seconds. (this will toggle that setting on and off)

Disarm alarm on a 2004 sonata

If you use your keyfob to lock the doors, it will activate the alarm, and you will need to unlock with the keyfob. If you lock the doors with the lock button on the inside of the door, it should not activate the alarm.
