It normally indicates the cable between the document feeder and copier is ether has a loose connection or the cable has a short and needs to be replaced.
It can also be an issue with the document feeder driver circuit board or the copier engine circuit board.
ok... I am tech... and I had the same problem... you need to install the generic postscript driver then goto this ip address (http://localhost:631)and tune the driver... if not you will only print from tray 1 and only a4 paper size...
hi the drum unit on this model has two plugs which need to be plugged in and one on the dev unit that can come loose. also the metal mechanism under the dev unit has to be pushed in to enable toner to get onto the drum. is the transfer roller fitted correctly?
