I have a proxima dp6860 color shadow

I have a proxima dp6860 and it seems like the color red produces a slight shadow towards the right of things. like on the main screen if there is no input, it displays the proxima logo and some words and there is a small shadow that is easy to see since the background is white, and in movies and games, when objects are red, i see the shadow, but if there were black and white or non reddish images, there isnt a shadow

The lcd panel may be out of alignment. there really isn't a way adjust it easily. it'll need to go in for repair to an infocus service center. try av solutions in ny. they're really good.
i think it's www.avsolutionsny.com

Red & green shadowing on the right side of picture

First thing to try is a convergence but with the red shadowing seems to me that you may have your color gun going. Convergence can be found in your video menu on your setup screen. Once in the menu you can adjust the colors to line up. This usually has to be done on a tv that has been moved.

How do i flip the image on a proxima 6860...the image is upside down.

it's been a long time since I worked on one of these, but if you select the menu and look thru the settings, you should see "ceiling" with a checked box next to it. just uncheck the box.

The colors seem out of focus. Blues and yellows don't seem to match. For instance, if I have words projected, it's like I have a blue word with a yellow shadow of the word. And there is a band of blue...

sounds like you have ghosting, this is not adjustable unless you can get into the hidden menu and then you have to know exactly what you are doing. Or the LCD ribbons have come loose. The easiest thing to try is reflashing the software.

Multiple reddish pink vertical lines going from

take the top cover off and look for the 3 lcd ribbon cables plugged into thr main board. it is a pain in the ****, but the cable must be completely seated into the things on the main board. there should be little brown tabs on the connectors on the main board that you flip up or down, then make sure all lcd cable are pushed all the way in.

Can the bulb out of Proxima DP6860 work in a DP6850?

No they will not interchange.

The DP6860 takes a bulb number LAMP-030 and is a 250 watt bulb.

The DP6850 takes a bulb number LAMP-017 and is a 190 watt bulb.

If you could physically make them fit by some means, likely just the wattage difference would cause problems with the projector. These bulbs require much more electronics to light up than what a normal household bulb does. I'm assuming the projector would think the lamp is either burned out or worst case cause damage to the power supply in the projector.

Multiple reddish pink vertical lines going from

Hi

We can check if the problem is on the hardware(projector) itself or if from source(device connected to projector) try to turn on projector without connecting any other devices to it. If you can still see the pink line- try to remove bulb and reinstall it. If all fails and pink line still visible, there is a problem with projector. If no line is present- check settings and change input signals.

Hope this helps

Discolored image and lines...

I also am having the same problem. at first it only showed up after the projector was on for about 15 minutes. Now I get a purple vertical bar on the right of the screen. I also get vertical green bars spread across the screen.
Does anyone have a diagram of how this machine is assembled?
