Restart your PC. If you get that BSD (Blue Screen of Death) again a few times, then take it to your local PC repairer and ask for a Windows re- installation.
If you want to learn PC handling, try installing windows by yourself.
If you really love your PC an don't want to ever see a BSD, ask your computer technician to install Linux on it.

If you are using win xp a device failure can cause these blue screen, such as memory or vga problems, have your computer check by a qualified tech to see if these crashes are device related or not

Solid blue screen

Too many possibilities for a blue screen.
If the computer attempts to boot and only goes to a blue screen, i'd check re-seating your memory module. If your blue screen is from a computer crash, it could be fixed the same way but more likely else. A) Make sure your computer is not overheating.
B) Make sure that the the computer has been de-fragged, this is a normal maintenance that should be done monthly at least.
C) Next option is the program your using installed correct.
D) Has the computer been crashing to a blue screen may need to be re-installed...

Blue screen of death on my HP Pavilion g7-1219wm notebook pc

A BSOD (blue screen of death) is a general failure warning and in itself is not serious unless it continues to happen. If that is the case, you will need to read and write down the message that appears to be able to get further help.

My acer z5600 crashes with multicoloured screen when playing games

Ya it sounds like your video Card is dying, though you can check with different RAM and try some normal games which don't need high Graphic. You have PCI Graphic card fitted on it then try removing and playing the game, then this way you can know what is the fault.

Your OS software may be corrupted. Did you try reloading the machine with your recovery software? If that does not do it, then the problem may lie with the motherboard or one of your peripherals.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I would either have to be in the chat mode or on the telephone with you to fully analyze your problem and provide a coherent answer. But don't despair because there is a little FREE program that may solve your problem.

It happens periodically that our computer shuts down, restarts, hibernates or some other weird thing when we really don't want it to. I'm going to pass on to you a FREE and hard to believe program from Microsoft! I have no idea why this little program hasn't been advertised but then I don't own their stock.

Just click on the following link and your problem should be solved: Download Microsoft's Fixit

I don't know your skill level so my suggestion is that you utilize the automatic function of Fixit.

Be a hero and fix your friends' computers; just don't tell them how you did it! That will be our little secret.

All the best,

Ben

Your operating system is corrupted with either a virus and/or missing drivers. That blue screen of death your receiving is because of missing or corrupted and the computer doesn't know what to do so it crashes. I would do a clean install of windows.

Hello I have an acer aspire 5535 and it keeps

The complete solution to this fault (Acer 5535 keeps crashing under vista) is to use Windows XP instead of Vista. Set up a Dual Boot so you can CHOOSE to load XP or Vista each time you turn on the laptop. I've put XP on my 5535 and it's SO much faster and seems perfectly stable now - no crashing at all.

A full video showing how to do this is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdfU9TXIAd4

Once you've done this you won't have any problems with the laptop anymore.
This is a perfect solution to the crashing problem!

PC is frozen on black screen

if your computer has the older ps2 keyboard connection as well as the usbbuy or borrow a ps2 keyboard (small round plug goes into back of computer) and reboot.. some computers do not provide usb support for the keyboard until the machine has loaded windows so a usb keyboard wont work when you need it to on boot-up.. you will be able to use the ps2 keyboard to select the options your machine is offering you (probably after a bad windows crash?)

I get a blue screen that says my computer was shut down to protect from crashing, and it says it dumped my memory

I recently saw a very tricky virus that made it look like my computer was getting blue screen of death. It was acutaly a virus that had replaced my screen saver. They had even faked the screens that made it look like it was rebooting. I had also been locked out of the screen saver functions so I couldn't turn it off.

I booted in safe mode and removed the current screen saver.
I also ran a full virus scan.

Blue screens are normally caused by corrpted system files or faulty hardware.
But I'd do the screen saver test first.
