Lcd display image looks like an explosion. My

Normally a "blob" on an LCD is a delamination of one or more of the LCD panels. But, they are usually not black. You may have a poor ribbon cable connection from the main board to the LCD panels....there is a ribbon connection to each of the Red, Green and Blue panels. It's either that or a main board failure, but certainly soemthing you want the factory or other authorized service center to check out.

Monitors, otherwise known as displays or screens, currently come in two formats: LCD and Trinitron ("the boxy thingy").
LCD pros: Flat, low radiation (as far as I know) LCD cons: displays can either come with or develop "dead pixels" - pixels that remain a solid color or display black, are very fragile - pressing the display surface is not "healthy" for the display
Trinitron pros: deep color Trinitron cons: relatively moderate-to-medium radiation
Both types of displays can suffer from "screen burn" - if an image is displayed for too long (several hours/days) it will permanently "burn" itself into the display and be visible at all times.

The blob is a phisically damaged part of the LCD screen. Unfixable, the screen must be replaced and it will be expensive.

Can you more clearly what you mean "while taking photo"?If lcd not display image...is that any text or symbol in the lcd?If you can still see the symbol or text in the lcd, I think you have trouble in your lens or ccd.
Trouble in the lens usually make the lcd display white screen. And, if ccd trouble the lcd display white horisontal line and if so hard broken the lcd display black screen, but the symbol or text is shown.

blow out any dust with canned air. chances are there is an object blocking the image. or there is a crack or burn spot on the 2nd fly-eye lens (diffuser). the first one is right next to the lamp (if you remove the lamp, you'll see it). the second is right on the other side of it.

If the camera operates normally and the only problem is no picture is visible on the lcd in record mode and playback mode,then the lcd needs to be replaced.

Sounds like it needs service. Call Canon tech support.

My nokia N95 I just got from Tigerdirect.com few days ago, after I got home from work my phone was looking ok but the battery low, I charg the phone and I see little dot on the LCD I thaught some dirt inside the screen, two minutes later the black dot get bigger and bigger more and more line across the LCD display.

My wife watch it and she thaught I was joking, but I decided to call customer service then she believe it.

It should not make any difference how long you had not used it.Problem is may have you had either put camera near magnetic surface or strong metal or its LCD screen get dropped down. Your Problem is with cuircuit and not setting.
