I am about to buy a Whirlpool 3RLS Q8033. Does it come with dual fill, and does the machine heat the water. Or do I need to guarantee equal hot and cold pressure?

It adds heat to the fresh water as it is pumped out on the floor. It will NOT heat cold water enough to clean the carpet. You have to put hot water in the clean water container.

It's recommended that you fill with clean cold water, but if you fill it with hot water, it will generate steam faster from startup. The most important thing is not to overfill it beyond the MAX mark on the tank.
The very best thing to do is to fill the dispenser tank with hot water....just plain hot water. Take it outside on concrete, so you can see what you're doing, and operate the cleaner heads. Alternate back and forth. What's happened is that the machine has set with solution residue in it, and it is stopping it up. The hot water will eventually dissolve the goo, and the machine will start working properly. It may take more than one tankful of hot water, but one will probably do the trick. To keep this from happening again, run another tank of hot water after you've finished. I do it on my carpet after shampooing, and it has the added bonus of vleaning the pickup side as well!
Best regards, --W/D-- please feel free to rate this solution....thanx!
I think the instructions should have the user rinse the solution passage with water. The soap probably clogged your spray nozzles. I had the same problem, I used a toothpick to poke to hole open again. The solution sprays only. I can't figure out why the water is not spraying out though.
It would depend on whether you machine preheats the water or not,and what kind of machine,Bissell,GE,etc..If your machine doesn't heat the water, then I would use hot water.Do not boil water, tap is fine.
If the unit is spraying ok but your just not getting hot water you could have a defective heater even if the light is on. To test you would need to take the handle apart and see if the heater gets hot by touching it give it about 2 Min's to heat up but be careful it will burn you if it is working properly. Another thing to remember is that even if it is working properly the water won't be very hot especially if you put cold water in it to start out with. The best thing to do is fill it with the hottest water you can get from the tap don't boil it or anything but this will help.
