My KDS-R60XBR1 turn up volume to maximum loud and stays loud

My KDS-R60XBR1 turn up volume to maximum loud itself and remote control does not work ( remote is good - I have extra one to test it.)
Problem must be in remote digital receiver board
most likely but I am not sure.
Tried to reset TV - does not help.
I went manually on TV to menu and put speakers on mute.
However I cannot use remote anymore. Receiver bad.
IS it something easy dead or do I have to replace whole board ?

Question:
Take the batteries out of both the remotes and then try to turn the TV on with it's On/off switch built into the TV.
If it turns on and the volume stays the same, then it must be an issue with one of the remotes.
If the tv turns on and the volume ramps up to max. Please check if volume knobs/buttons on the tv itself to see if they are sticking.
If they aren't, there is something wrong with one of the boards in the tv of course. This sure should be something a Sony Service Shop can fix. I don't think it will be expensive. Maybe a $100 to $200 repair if they do the work.
Blessings,

Samsung le40r74bd problem

I just had this problem with my 3 year old 32" Samsung LCD. The volume would go up and down by itself, normally just constantly going up even when it reached 100%.

I thought it might have something to do with the volume buttons on the TV itself so seeing as it was out of warranty anyway I decided to unplug it and open it up.

I gave it a good clean and I disconnected the cable for the panel of buttons on the LCD itself (volume, menu, channel etc) seeing as I never use them anyway. I then put everything else back together and tested.

It seems to be working fine now. Previously (for the past 3 hours) ever time I turned it on the volume level would come on instantly and stay on until I turned the TV off. So I’m quietly confident the problem has been fixed. But I must admit it’s only been 10 minutes, so who knows, it might come back.

How to i reset the lamp counter on my Sony KDSR60XBR1

I understand that you replaced the new Lamp and but the lamp counter is same.
Turn On the TV. While holding the UP button on the remote control, press the POWER button on the TV. ( The Tv will turn OFF itself OFF, then back ON again). Then, release the UP button.
If its not reset, you need to call sony phone support. Chat or email support may not be able to help you

Sony kds-r50xbr1 turns itself off and then green light blinks 52

I too have a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 tv and the issue that you are experiencing is due to one of your fans in the rear of the tv is not working.  The tv automatically shuts off in protective mode.  Make sure the POWER/STANDBY light is blinking and not the lamp light below it.  Is the power/standby blinking 4 times in red? If, yes then its a fan that needs to be replaced.  If its the lamp light blinking then you need to replace the lamp.  The lamp is easy to replace by ordering the lamp either from Sony for $250 or find it cheaper for approx. $150 from other DLP sources and replace youself by following your manual.  I hope this helps you.
