Yes all the connection are intact, in these cases have the cpu check the monitor is not the problem, the monitor is still displaying which means that it is good, have the cpu check or check how many vga adpater is present in the cpu, if you have a built in and a separate card and you plug the monitor to the built it will not work and you need to connect it on the separate expansion card that is install inside your cpu

My monitor power light is on but no display it is under warrenty

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, consider an experiment. Shine a flashlight at an angle towards the screen with the monitor and computer both powered on. Note if a dark/ghostly image of the desktop could be seen. If yes, then it would be a backlighting issue. In most instances, it would be the inverter that provides high frequency, high voltage supply to the CCF (cold cathode florescent) lamps.

It is a hardware fault and not a setting nor a configuration issue.

Offhand, perhaps your best bet would then be to consult with and/or seek the services of an authorized Service Center (specially if still under some form of warranty).

Good luck and thank you for asking.

Power led on.but no display

Hello,

If all the connection are intact and yet you still get blank page, then, The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

Heat from monitor

The monitor, screen, adapter or display of a computer is the primary user interface. Monitor problems are some of the most common computer problems since the voltages inside a monitor can be as high as 10 KV. Many of the problems can be fixed yourself by simply changing the settings but in a few cases you may have to either replace or repair the monitor.
google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); How to troubleshoot and fix computer monitor/display problems
1. The monitor/display flickers
Check the refresh rate. If the refresh rate is 50 Hz/ 60Hz (depending on which country you stay), it can be affected by interference from electrical power signals like those from fluorescent lamps . Increasing the refresh rate to 72Hz is recommended , since higher refresh rates reduce eyestrain and headaches
2. The display works fine initially, then after some time there are black lines on the screen and then the display disappears
There is a problem with the copper windings in the CRT monitor which are getting heated. It is better to replace the monitor
3. For a new monitor, you get a blank screen or distorted image.
Many monitors, especially LCD monitors, can only handle resolutions which are less than the native resolution, so set the resolution at the native resolution only. The native resolution of a LCD display is lower for smaller LCD screen sizes, typically 1024 X 768 for 15" LCD. CRT monitors have a better resolution than LCD displays
4. The display on the monitor is not steady
This is a result of power system interference from users of the power grid, particularly UPS, power tools and heavy machinery. Try changing the position of the monitor.

5. There is a shadow on the images on the display
Try reducing the contrast setting on your monitor.
6. Monitor becomes blank occasionally
Could be a problem with the display card, check with another monitor. The monitor display cord and power cable should be fixed properly and there should be no loose connection.
7. Dark Spots on the Screen.
Move speakers,USB modem and other magnetic devices away from the monitor.
8. Incorrect Colors - red may become dark brown, blue becomes purple.
Check your video cables and connectors for bent or broken pins and wires. Sometimes there may be a problem with your display card, which can be retuned using a software available with monitor technicians.
9. Run Antivirus to scan corrupt software files.Virus cause distorted characters and images.
10. Set your monitor/display pixels to the software requirements. some softwares require higher pixels to run or to be displayed. some media players, web applications, video games applications and photo editors/view softwares have option to view photos on low or high quality

No power light

First thing to do is:
check the power cable of the monitor if its properly connected at the back.
check for any damage on power cable, like cut or burn wire.
check the power outlet where your monitor connected.

initially if all of the suggestions was check and did not correct the problem, then you have a problem on the monitor power board or burn fuse. you have two option send it for repair or buy a new one, but i will suggest that its better to buy a new monitor instead of repairing it.

hope this initial info helps.

let me know for any further calrifications.

Change power output from motherboard

Windows will automatically install your desktop monitor using generic drivers. But if it doesn't, go to safemode by pressing F8 before it goes to windows. Change your settings from there. Also, normally, CRT monitors can take more than LCD monitors.
