Question about Kenmore 25614 / 25615 Progressive Bagged Canister Vacuum
Recently my canister vacuum because seems to be shorting out when I vacuum carpet floors. Each time I pull back on the vacuum, the light goes out on the vacuum head and it stops the roller brush.
If you have an extension wand, the replacement will cost about $100.00. there is a way to repair both the pwr-cord on the brush assemble and the wand, but it depends on how much damage there is. also you need to check the contacts where the wand connects with the handle, and the prongs on the handle.
let me know if you still need help

Check the electrical plug connections on the wand and where it plugs into on the power head. You may have to replace the wand and the power cord going into the powerhead. These connections get overheated and won't conduct very good. (Shutting off the power head before unplugging it will cut down on these kind of problems,) To order parts, go to sears.com, click on parts, put in your model number and the parts list will come up for you to order parts.
