My FY500 Mpio has been damaged, internally, I will just say.
When I turn it On it switches to the menu and does what it wants buy just barely touching the powerbutton, it wont play my songs and keeps randomly change its station, from Sound balance to Audio options...
and when I shake it slightly, it somehow clickers, as if there is something small broken in the inside of the mp3 player, and I know how this will sound brutal but when I hit it a few times on a hard object, say a wall, and quickly keep pressing play, multiple times, then it plays my songs, but then I quickly have to put it on lock keys, so that if I accidently touch the powerbutton slightly, it randomly switches its station and goes to some menu options. So I cant really choose which song I want to listen to, it was set on shuffle so it plays whatever comes... =p only Sometimes it allows me to change the song but then right after I have to switch the lock key button on again, can you help me please?

Try plugging your USB cable (attached to your player) into the computer before you turn the computer on and boot up . . . I had this same problem with a flash drive that the computer would not recognize if I plugged it into the computer while the computer was already on.
Turn off the unit and connect it to the computer. The computer should recognize the player. Run a program called Mpio Utility (Can be found on the CD or Mpio.com) Select format & Config That should do the trick.
