to reset the tv, hold the power button while you unplug the TV. Keep holding the power button for :15 seconds, then release it and turn the power back on. That should reset any timer.
The TV reset may help you. If the timer was set by accident many of these TV's that have the sleep timer have this problem. Try the factory reset initialization.
Some tvs have a sleep timer on it and if it is accidently programmed the tv will turn off at a certain time. You may want to look at the users manual for more info. Or call a local place that fixs tv's for some more input before paying someone or getting a new tv. I had a tv once and it did the same think. I had to get into the menu with the remote and figure it out it had something to do with a set sleep timer so the tv would shut off at a certain time if the timer was set. It sucks if you dont have a remote though hopefully you do. Good luck. MSome tvs have a sleep timer on it and if it is accidently programmed the tv will turn off at a certain time. Hello. Lamp timer have to be reset in service menu of your TV. Without resetting it you will have this message every time you turn TV on. I can not provide you with directions how to do it - it's forbidden by Sony for me to give information like this to the customer, because without proper training you can easy change some settings by accident that would not be restorative after all and it would cost you pretty penny to replace main board that have all memory settings. I would advise call any local TV repair and ask them to show up and reset timer (shouldn't cost you too much, they don't need to open up TV or anything like it). Or search internet for specific information (but do it on your own risk). Regards. Russ.
Thats a common problem when the caps on the DM need replacement. They will function fine untill power is interupted then the set will not complete the boot sequence when power is reapplied and the led will just continue to blink. Hers a link to the kit that will usually repair that issue the kit comes with instructions. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/v21v19-mitsubishi-dm-repair-kit/cName/repair-kits
The timer light blinking indicates a failure in the TV set. Either the
vertical circuit or horizontal circuit has failed and needs repair. It
actually has nothing to do with the timer circuit.
In my experience its probably a vertical output chip, smalla capacitor and zener diode. There may also be an open resistor.
Cost to repair in the 50-75 dollar range usually
You have a timer that has been accidently set by someone by the remote control. If you have an instruction amnual for the tv, it will tell you how to turn off the tv's timer.
