HP f1905e tilt and Height adjustment

Monitor has height and tilt adjustment but will not stay at set height. Monitor sinks down and rests on monitor feet.

I also have a height adjustment problem with the hpf 1905. I can't find any way to tighten it up. It just sinks to the lowest level. It obviously has a weak spring or tensioner. Wonder is there is a replacement part?

Let me know if you find a solution.

Thanks for the good info the cover over the arms comes off in two pieces (top and bottom) it splits at the midline if you use a small screw driver and twist/pry it from the base towards the monitor a little at a time they come off without breaking any tabs. I repaired mine as mentioned above and it works and stands alone just fine.

I figured it out! Just takes a phillips screwdriver and a 5/16" open end wrench to tighten up some nuts inside the plastic housing. The plastic housing doesn't come off with the screws, but has to be slightly pryed up to release the little plastic catches. Be careful though, you don't want to break the plastic tabs. It's ok to break maybe 1 because there are several to take up the slack. At first I thought it was the nuts that are 1/2" (there are two that are close to 2 springs. But that was just for the tilt forward and backward. Actually there are 4 nuts (5/16") that need to be tightened. Don't over tighten or it will not tilt at all. I took photos of the disassembled base. If you have skype, then skype me at "golfbob" chino hills, and I can send the pics or talk you through it. Good luck.

I also had to pry off the plastic cover that I have written on to get the wrench on the nuts. Also meant to say "do not over-tighten because you will not be able to raise or lower the monitor (not tilt).

Another view with plastic covers removed.

Our viewsonic monitor tilts forward. how do we tilt it back?

Hello again.
The ViewSonic VG1930wm has a height adjustment range of 3.2", TILT capabilities, and a swivel range of 360 degrees.
So yes your monitor should be able to tilt back and forth.  Most likely if you hold the base of the monitor, and press somewhere on the front at the top or bottom (do not press on the screen itself) then it should easily tilt back and forth.  Occassionally there is a switch you may have to hold while you push on the front-top/bottom of the monitor which acts as a lock for the tilt angle.
Hope that helps, and don't forget to vote/rate!

Height adjust for Dell UltraSharp 1907FP 19" LCD Monitor

Is it stuck, or just not adjustable? Try setting it on a phonebook. I'm kidding. If it is an adjustable base, sometimes they need a little downward pressure before the button will depress and allow it to move upward.

Thanks,
Chris

The monitor screen will not stay up on my HP f1905e monitor

Inside of the base support there is a spring mechanism. I have seen the spring come off from its support, or some parts of the mechanism itself go defective. In some cases I had to order a new support from the manufacture.
