It stays on for a different length of time each time it's turned on. Sometimes will work for many hours per night and 4 or 5 nights, sometimes will stay on for only a few minutes. When it shuts down, you see the 3 color horizontal lines (r,g,b) colapse toward the center of the screen and then goes black and the power goes off. You can immeditely turn it back on, but it will shut down again quickly. if it sits for a while it will stay on for a longer time, usually. I tried to re-solder all the connections on the 3 - CRT circuit boards, since this was a common issue that supposedly caused this problem, but that didn't help.

Can I set the Malibu 8100-0600-01 to operate at 2 different times at night-(ie- on at 7:00pm-off at 10:00pm then on again at 5:00am and off at 7:00 am)

Yes: Rotate power pack selector to ON. Buy analog wall timer with 3-prong plug from local store. Plug power pack into analog wall timer that will turn power pack on-off twice a night.
Copy following link to identify timer and also see tips for prolonging power pack life:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Malibu-power-pack-stopped-working.html#dawn-dusk
Analog timers:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59200

The 1-year warranty digital transformers sold by Malibu and other vendors are made for single on-off events per each night.
If you manually set power pack to ON so lights are on all the time, then plug power pack into ordinary analog wall timer, then the analog timer turns power pack on-off when you want.

Other option is to buy 5-year warranty Intermatic-Malibu power pack with built-in analog timer dial and set trippers to turn on-off when you want. Order extra trippers for more on-off operations per each 24-hour day.

I would just have someone come and check it out to see if it is the light or the electrical. Hopefully it is only a matter of cleaning it off and and replacing a piece or two. Good luck with the repairs and hopefully it is nothing to serious.

Works sometimes sometimes not

It could be a lot of things; such as, faulty wire connection, cold solder joint, HV voltage arcing, corroded battery terminals. intermittent short in the switches. If it stop work, try gently shaking it several times, push the on/off button several times. make sure the battery makes a good connection in the battery compartment. Wrap it up and put it in your freezer for a few hours. There are electronic components that might get hot/warm and by cooling them down they will start working again. GB...stewbison

Hey im having a problem, basically all im trying to do it make it so my heat lamp turns on only at night, so, i set my time to the correct time right now and then i pressed prg, set the days (everyday)...

1) There is no repair for defective timer.
According to manual, under Initial Timer Operation: yellow outlet is ON at 4:00 pm.
Make sure Mode button is not set to OFF.

2) Scheduling timer: Think about the zilla timer this way:
Day is 12 hours and night is 12 hours.
Your total schedule is only 9 hours, but it overlaps day and night.

If timer 'night' starts at 6pm and ends at 6am, then your programming overlaps day and night.
If timer 'night' starts at 12midnight and ends at 12noon, then your programming still overlaps day and night.

3) To solve zilla time problem, set current time differently.
4) Or buy GE or Utilitec 24-hour programmable power strip

NVN3: No difference with power on or off

Most night vision when switched off will stay 'on' for a period of time. After a short time you should not see anything just black. You can't look through a night vision monocular that has been off for a while. The image you see is actually an image on a screen inside unlike a regular monocular or binoculars. Turning it on powers the screen. When turned off the screen is still warmed up and takes time to turn off. Like some old TV's. If you haven't used it for some time and pull it out for night viewing and can see a picture when you haven't pushed the on button. The unit is malfunctioning as it is staying on.

I would call them at 1-800-t-mobile to make sure your service is set up correctly (if it isn't it may explain why it takes so long to locate the network) or you could use their customer care site at http://www.t-mobile.com/Contact.aspx to find a store that will replace/repair it for you.
