Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

You will need to call Quickbooks customer service and they will re-activate the licnese for you. They do this so that it will keep the license safe from pirating or stealing.

Hope this helps!

How to fix QuickBooks Error Code 3371 and status 11118?

QuickBooks Error Code 3371 and status 11118 can occur when there is a problem with the QuickBooks license data or when the data is damaged. To fix this error, you can try the following steps:
  1. Repair or reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework: QuickBooks requires Microsoft .NET Framework to run, and this error can sometimes be caused by a problem with .NET Framework. Try repairing or reinstalling .NET Framework to fix the error.
  2. Repair or reinstall QuickBooks: If repairing or reinstalling .NET Framework does not fix the error, try repairing or reinstalling QuickBooks.
  3. Reset the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file: This file stores your QuickBooks license information, and the error can sometimes be caused by a problem with this file. To reset the file, follow these steps:
  • Close QuickBooks
  • Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type "C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8" (without quotes) in the Run dialog box and press Enter.
  • Locate the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file and rename it to EntitlementDataStore.old.
  • Reopen QuickBooks and try activating it again.
  1. Contact QuickBooks Support: If none of the above steps fix the error, you may need to contact QuickBooks Support for further assistance. They will be able to help you troubleshoot the issue and find a solution.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions

I can not activate QuickBooks Pro 2006, Please help me.

Your only solution is to call Quickbooks help. Give them your license number and they will be able to walk you through how to re-activate your license.

Note: If you are attempting to install quickbooks on a second computer and you purchased a one user license, that will be the reason. They will make you pay for another license. You can only load Quickbooks single user license on one computer.

Hope this helps.

I am installing quickbooks 2011 Pro and keep getting Error code 3371 status code 1

The 3371 error means that the software couldn't read the license information. possibly due to an incomplete install. You need to reenter the license; you may need to do a full uninstall and reinstall. Have the license available before starting.

First try just deleting the license file:
Close Quickbooks if it is open. Depending on your OS, search for the hidden folder with the license file and delete EntitlementDataStore.ecml . (You may need to enable viewing of the hidden folders. This is accessed via the File Explorer. Double click the Computer (My Computer in XP) icon (or Start > Control Panel > Computer) to open the explorer. Click on Organize and go to the Folders and search options. In the View tab, select Show hidden folders.) For Windows Vista or Win 7, search for C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6.0 . In XP, you need the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6.0 . Just select the file and choose delete then confirm the delete command. Launch Quickbooks and follow the on-screen directions for registering the program.

The MSXML 4 software may be damaged or missing. This program is on the CD; however it may be better to download it from Microsoft, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7F6C0CB4-7A5E-4790-A7CF-9E139E6819C0&displaylang=en . Try to repair the software with the command msiexec.exe /fvaum "%userprofile%\desktop\msxml.msi" (then press enter) with the above file saved to the Desktop. (Click Start or Start > Run, depending on the OS.)

If the repair doesn't work because the program isn't installed, install with the downloaded file. Otherwise uninstall it (Start > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall) and then reinstall first the MSXML 4 and then Quickbooks.

If the above step doesn't work, then you need to uninstall Quickbooks completely. First uninstall Quickbooks from the Uninstall Wizard mentioned above. Then run the Clean Install Utility from Intuit, https://www.quickbase.com/up/bd9yykidd/g/r9/eg/va/QuickBooks%20Clean%20Install%20Utility.exe , to remove any information from the program that was left after uninstalling. Reinstall Quickbooks after clicking OK when the program says Quickbooks is ready for a clean install.

You could manually rename the installation files instead of using the Clean Install Utility but that would clutter your hard drive.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any help; if you do, please add a comment with your OS.

Can't install quickbooks pro 2009

Sounds like you have the QuickBooks Database manager running or the Quick Connect feature still installed and/or turned on. Check and see if this is the problem by going to start and then programs and see if it says QuickBooks anywhere. If it does, slide over to see which of the two listed above are on. Then go to your control panel and uninstall the program. Double check to make sure the "quickbooks" catagorey disappears from your programs and then install the new version you wish to keep.
