Lens alignment could be off or dirty.You can take the lid off and clean the lens but be careful doing this or you can go to a pawn shop and pick up a ps2 for 30 or 40 bucks.

great solution, go to any pawn shop you can pick up a decent radio for like 20-30 bucks. they are trust worthy most legit pawn shops test radios before they buy them. at wal-mart in the car audio section for 9 bucks they have this unit called a universal wire harness for different models look on the back to make sure it fits your make and model and date range to your car. pick up some 18 gauge red **** clamps to connect your harness, you will need a 20 pack. and some pliers, to connect up to the wires existing to the radio, and plug her in. when i first did this it took me maybe half an hour, cause i didnt knwo what i was doing, but its way more simple than it looks, very step by step. some models of civic you may need to tear apart your entire dashboard to get to the radio but experiance says its usually 2000's and up with this issue.
