Vent going away from the dryer is stopped up full of lint or the vent tubing is collapsed causing the hot wet air to remain in your dryer.

Testimonial: "Absolutely spot on thank you SO much. The tumbler had been pulled out by plumber to turn water off. Pipe was squashed when pushed back.Thank you."

When using my dryer i notice that my windows are steamed up why is this?

What is the dryer doing? drying your clothes right? so the clothes are wet and as the dryer goes round and round the fan which is attached to the drum ( which holds the clothes) is pushing hot air into it. the vent in the front or the lint trap sucks hair lint debris from going up the exhaust chute. so "steamy" windows is when the dryer exhaust is not vented to take the moist warm air out of the house and raises the humidity level to condensate on the windows giving the steamy look. which is a great way to heat and bring humidity into the house during the dry winter months.

Clothes get caught

Instructions

1

Remove the lint screen from the GE electric clothes dryer.
2

Roll the lint from the screen with your hand. If the lint screen is clogged with fabric softener, fill a sink with hot water and add 1 to 2 tsp. dish soap.

3

Scrub the lint screen with a soft-bristle brush and soapy water. Rinse the lint screen thoroughly and shake off any excess water. Set the lint screen aside to air dry while you clean the dryer exterior.
4

Dampen a cloth with warm water and wring it out. Wipe over the GE electric dryer exterior to remove any lint, dust or product residue. If the dryer is very dirty, dip the cloth in the soapy water and wipe away any spots.
5

Wipe the GE clothes dryer with a towel to dry. Replace the lint screen when it's completely dry.

Dryer makes loud noises at startup but as the cloths dry and the load gets lighter, the noise goes away.

Check the belt idlers or the gasket around the drum might be getting old

Machine is going round but not drying the clothes - it still gets warm though?

Check to see if the exhaust vent line is blocked. Are your clothes in there really damp? It will take longer to dry.

The top drawer intermitantly makes the drawer opening noise

On the right side, near the top. there are two light pipes on the drawer. One sends an infrared beam of light to a reflective area on the cabinet, the other receives this light. Wipe these areas with a clean dry cloth.

Dryer heats up but isn't drying properly

yes it does something is blocking your vent either its all coiled up behind the drier or something i need to ask a few questions go out side and look at where your drier vent has a hood make sure nothing is blocking it from opening it has a little round door on it ive seen some that have little plastic screens on them that gets clogged the screen is there to keep critters from building nests in the vent line then get a flash light and look over the back to see if the vents folded over mashed etc to find out if its a vent problem take your vent loose dry a load and see if it goes back to normal if all that's ok get back to me and we will clean the drier i need to know if your lint screen is on top or in door and your model #

Loud squeaky Noise

this is not 100% diagnosis as can't listen to noise but fault may be bearing lip seal disintegrating which is a serious fault and if im right then bearing will shortly go as well. reason it is noisy during start is that seal is dry and gets wet when full of water
