Not sure if this is a double post, if so i apologise but the one i saw didnt use english very well, when i load the music it processes the information properly but once it gets to the file it stays at 00:00, almost like there is a software glitch.. thus far nothing has helped (formatting reloading songs charging battery) and i cannot find this problem on the philips site, can anyone help me here?
The rule for this device is first reset (hold power on/off and volume + simultaneously and continuosly while the player is turned on; reset works when the power turns off), and then Repair if that fails. The problem with Repair is that it deletes every file from the GoGear. Here are better instructions for repair than the manufacturer's:
1) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips) - if you don't see it, then re-run the installation CD or grab the "Device/Firmware Manager" from the Philips website
2) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
3) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off (if you haven't done so already) - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new.
