Try and reset. 1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly. Part 2 - Make sure the player is fully charged. 1. Connect the player to the PC. 2. Make sure the computer detects the player. NOTE: This part is important:, switch the player to MSC mode, then connect it to the PC. 3. Leave the player connected for approximately 2 hours to charge. 4. Disconnect the player from the PC. 5. Verify if you can turn on the player. 6. Reset the player if necessary one more time.
Hi guys. I had the same problem. My Sansa clip would not come on at all and when I connected it to my computer, an malfunction error came up.
I found the solution on another forum which suggested sliding and holding the power button for about 15 seconds. This should reset the player. Try to turn it on again. It should work! It worked for me and all my music remained. Goodluck!
1. Are you able to turn it on ?
If so, press the the "power on" button the second time to activate the menu.
Still no luck ! Try putting in a new battery and try again.
2. You cannot "reset" anything.
3. Open up "windows explorer"
4. Scroll down the left pane of the window till you see the "sansa" removable disk
5. Right click it and select "format"
6. After formatting, try adding your files back again.
7. Use the >= button on the player tp play the songs.
Hi again audreytagle. Please take your slip and take your sansa to the place you bought it and show them the problem they will probably give you a new one. before you do that try inserting new batteries into the sansa shaker and see if the product works. if not use the above mentioned solution.
