HI. Frist, make sure that your unit is equipped with this feature. if you have varifyed that your unit is equipped with a filter fo this nature, the location will be on teh front, lower grille area. This is the most common location for a water filter. Simply kneel down, and look at the bottom section of your unit, on the front. There is a grill, with a circular cut-out. This will be where the filter is housed. You will need to turn the handle counter-clockwise to release.
Now, in newer units, the filter will be located inside the refrigerator compartment, just above the top shelf, in the right, or left corner. if both locations do not show a filter, check the backside of the unit for a 8 inch cylindrical device.

the error code "OE" is a "Drain error " and it is initiated by your washer not having fully drained in 10 minutes.
Most common cause is a clogged filter. Check your "coin trap" filter for retained objects, like missing socks etc.:-)
To clean it
1. Take off the lower front panel
2. Turn the pump filter cover counter-clockwise by hand and remove. Place a bucket or pan underneath it since you will get water spilling out of there. There will be plenty of water. So please make sure that you have lots of buckets and towels etc. to catch the water
3. With a set of long pliers, remove the filter. Clean that of any debris etc. and replace it when cleaned.
4. Replace the filter cover and lower panel.
Or;
Check the drain line for obstructions by moving it up and down quickly like a water ram.
that door houses the pump filter, which regularly needs opening and clearing as the pump access gets full of detritus (lint, pins, buttons, hair etc.) the leaking may be due to it getting totally clogged, or possibly the rubber "O" ring that closes the seal needs replacing.
Maytag brand water filter removal and replacement:
Removing and replacing a water filter
There are two different types of Maytag
brand water filters. Each one is removed in a different manner,
depending entirely on where it is located in your refrigerator. There
are two main locations. Select your filter location from the options
below for specific removal and replacement directions.
Removing a water filter from the inside of your Frigidaire brand
refrigerator:
Removing and replacing a water
filter - upper right hand corner inside location
Filters situated up front in the refrigerator compartment of Frigidaire-built
side-by-side refrigerators are relatively simple to replace. Follow these steps:
Open the door of the refrigerator compartment of your Frigidaire brand
side-by-side refrigerator. The filter is located in the upper right hand corner.
It has a push button for quick release just to the right of the
filter.
Locate the icemaker On/Off power switch and place it in the OFF (o)
position.
Push in on the filter release button and pull the filter all the way out to
remove it. Remove new filter from its packaging and remove the protective
plastic caps. Insert the new filter in the same manner it was removed. Make sure
to push in firmly on the filter until you hear the filter cartridge click in
place.
Return the icemaker's power switch to the On (l) position.
Condition the filter by running water through the dispenser for about three
minutes. This will flush the filter of all fine carbon particles.
In some models, you will have to reset the filter status light. It is
located on the ice and water dispenser control panel. Push in on it for ten to
fifteen seconds until the green, red, and amber lights flash. If your
refrigerator model does not have a filter status light, you should make a note
on a calendar, or place a month sticker on your filter to remind you to replace
the filter again in six month's time.
Note: Replacing this type of filter is a quick process - there is no
need to unplug your refrigerator or shut off the water supply when replacing it.
Also, this filter should be replaced every six months.
1. Look for the water filter cartridge. On some refrigerators it is located in the back, upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment. Some refrigerators have it in a tubular-like slot under the door and accessible from outside. 2. Remove the old cartridge. On the cartridges that are located inside the refrigerator, the cartridge should be slowly turned to the left. Don't pull down on the cartridge. A small amount of water may drip. On the type that are under the door, follow the arrow labeling for the direction to unscrew it. Slide it outside. 3. To replace a filter, fill the replacement cartridge with water from the tap. This will speed up water flow after installation. Run water from the dispenser for three minutes after replacing a filter to clear the line. Refrigerators with a filter warning light require you to reset the light. Press and hold the Reset Water Filter button to do that.
This particular water filter is known as a ``in line water filter`` and is located at the BOTTOM of the fridge at the LEFT hand side. located in the grill at the bottom. first you must remove the filter cap and then It simply twists out for easy replacement. part number for the water filter is 2255519. and should be replaced based on a 6 month period or the amount of water filtered. hope this helps
The water filter is located in the
upper right-hand corner of the fresh
food compartment.
1. Remove blue bypass cap and
retain for later use.
2. Remove sealing label from end
of filter and insert into filter head.
3. Rotate gently clockwise until
filter stops. Snap filter cover
closed.
4. Reduce water spurts by
flushing air from system.
Run water continuously for
two minutes through
dispenser until water runs steady. During initial
use, allow about a one- to two-minute delay in
water dispersal to allow internal water tank to fill.
WOW! I'd say that the filter is definately due for replacement.
The manufacturer recommends the filter be changed every 6-8 months, as with ice and water dispensers in the door, folks tend to use the chilled water and ice more often, hence you get alot of gallons of water thru the fridge each month.
Once you replace the filter, you'll need to flush out the lines, (see the instructions with the new filter) to get rid of any loose carbon in the filter element, but once you done this, you should also notice better water flow and better tasting water and ice cubes too.
I tend to change my ice/water filter on my fridge every year when I change my smoke detector batteries. That way, I don't forget, sort of like my personal "once-a-year" house task list to change batteries, filters, resetting timers, etc., etc.
It's a good idea to change these smaller filters at a minimum of once a year, as they are no longer providing the filtration you want, and can actually be letting some of the contaminents fow out and into your water and cubes.
