No Picture I was told the picture came on and then went down, now when you hit the power button the red light flashes several times but it will not turn on....someone told me it might be the board causing the trouble..I hear a click like the power wants to come on but no chime and no component 1 on the screen indicating power.
I have the same problem. TV was on then suddenly went blank. Will not turn on with power button pushed. Tried plugging into a different plug but same thing happened. The only light that is on is the "timer" red light that stays on even when I pull the plug. Help!I have the same problem. TV was on then suddenly went blank. My TV had the same problem. I called Sony yesterday and they told me to reset the TV. I did so yesterday, and it seemed to work. Here is the transcript with instructions: Please turn ON the TV.
While holding down the RESET button on the Remote control, press the POWER button on the TV.
The TV will turn itself OFF, then back ON again.
Release the RESET button. The TV will go thru the initial setup, and should work normal.
Hi. I had the same problem. I called Canon and they told me to reset the camera, and it worked. The camera is back to normal. To reset, hit the "menu" button and then scroll over to the tab with the tools icon. Scroll down until you see "Reset All". Hit "set" then highlight OK and hit "set" again. It will say "busy" if it was reset correctly. I had to do it twice for it to work, but it seems to be working fine now. Hope that helps.
most times then not it's the capacitors on your power board that blew there for not supplying the tv with enough power if you open it up and check the capacitors it should be leaking some kind of liquid or the tops have bubbled up. its an easy fix cost>>2 dollars each
It is most deffinately a convergence chip issue. The die for no reason. They can be bought online for around $10 dollars and anyone with experience with soldering can replace them pretty easily. I have done it.
unplug it, and let it set for a minute or 2, then try it again...if it does it again hit the power button again to turn it back on...also once the the tv turns on make sure you reset the counter for the bulb..that will also cause problems...to reset the counter press the (-) volume on the tv while holding down the (-) press spilt, pip on the reomte...the lamp will reset and the indicator will go out
I own a Sony T.V. model #KV36HS510, Serial # 9024184,Event# E36002407 and it"s aTrinitron brand name. Like the problems before no picture or sound, stand by light on front of unit flashes. When trying to turn it back on you can hear the power click, like it wants to turn on, but does not.
same here.
