The general strategy is to unload the power supply until it comes up. Then fix or replace that circuit. If you can figure out which cable runs power to the convergence circuit - try that first. Also try disconnecting the CRT anode leads one at a time (if that does it then you got a bad CRT). If still no nada, then get a schematic and dive into the power supply board
