When I try to connect to the internet using a wireless connection, a screen comes up says "Communication with the server failed. A DNS error has occurred. (80410402)." How do I fix this problem?

if it is saying DNS error it is not a problem with the PSP, most likely a setting with your wireless router. or a problem with teh internet at the time of trying. check wireless settings on the PSP and make sure it has a number listed for DNS server.

Connect ps3 to laptop via web and walk

Connecting PS3 to a network I have LinkSys wireless router which is working perfectly for other devices (like laptop, Xbox360, TiVO). My wireless network is configured to NOT broadcast the SID and with a WEP key. After entering this manually in the network setup on my PS3, I was able to obtain an ip address from my router, I was able to open the configureation page on my router, but connecting to the internet would fail with some kind of DNS error. The way this was resolved for me, was to enter the DNS server addresses manually in the PS3 network settings AND use tetertiary DNS server from my ISP as either the primary or the secondary DNS server. ..btw, this also fixed the similar problem I had with my PSP.. Thanks!

is it an older game?
if it is then its because the website group hosting that game has stopped because not enough people play to keep the dns system up

Finally the DNS problems I had with connecting my PS3 to my network has been resolved. I have LinkSys wireless router which is working perfectly for other devices (like laptop, Xbox360, TiVO). The way this was resolved for me (and I know someone else mentioned it in an other post here), was to enter the DNS server addresses manually in the PS3 network settings AND use tetertiary DNS server from my ISP as either the primary or the secondary DNS server. Voila... I am upgrading my PS3 software as I write this.... ..btw, this also fixed the similar problem I had with my PSP.. Thanks!

Games

Hey mygz43,

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to convert PS1 games over to your PSP without altering the system’s firmware and possibly violating several end-user license agreements in the process.

Sony does however, support a function of the PSP called "remote play" that allows you to play content that is currently loaded into a Playstation 3 you own over a WLAN, home network or via internet access. Typically this means that you would need to physically have a PS1 disc in the PS3 in order to play it, though content that is stored on the PS3's hard drive can also be played as well. Please remember though that not all PS3 models are backwards compatible to the PS1, and some titles may encounter graphical glitches or playback errors.

If you would like more information on this function, I would strongly suggest checking out Sony's support page for further details and step-by-step instructions:

http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/network/remoteplay/

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
