It stands for longer than normal drain interval,press "pause/cancel" twice to clear, if it returns then look for obstructions in the water drain from the basket all the way to the drain in the house,or possibly it could be a bad washer drain pump

I think the error code you are actually getting maybe an F21 due to there is no listing for F12. use this kink to put the unit into diagnostics and run the diagnostic menu which will give you your exact error code as well. I await your reply

He2 plus front load washer keeps showing F21 error code. I cleared the drain pump filter. Still displaying F21 how do i check to see if i need a new pump

Hello,

If you found a blockage in the pump screen restricting the drainage and it now drains fine but F21 is still there,the error code can be cleared by pushing the PAUSE/CANCEL 2 times within 2 seconds.
If after clearing the error code if it returns on the next wash cycle the pump will need to be replaced.

Sears has a fantastic part locator on line try that just surf the sears site you ll find it ,probalby even have a number to call just in case

Kenmore he plus is showing code f21 and is holding water and will not drain

Bad pressure switch or clogged drain line (or both).

HE2 Plus front load washer keeps showing F21 error code. I cleared the drain pump filter. How do I check the pump and where is it located?

Check for the drain hoses(both sides of the pump) and check for a blockage,then check the pump for blockage,there should be 4 impellers on this pump and they can get broken off by coins and debris. This solution will fix your problem.

CCU/Touchpad/LED assembly error(f21)
This error occurs if the touchpad/DED assembly is not able to transmit/receive data to/from the central control unit (CCU)
1. Check the touchpad/LED assembly by selecting different cycles and changing the modifiers and options available to confirm the touchpad/LED is responding 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power for five minutes. this will reset the CCU, and may reactivate the commmunication if the damage isnt sever. 3. Check Wire Harness connectors to the touchpad/LED assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)

Replace failed component.
