Couldn't install lexmark 8300 printer software on my window vista driver computer

I use a toshiba equium laptop and an hp 1200 printer and I could print my stuff. I decided to upgrade my printer and got a Kodak 5500 and I am frustrated because I have tried everything and cannot print. I can use the Lexmark 8300 just fine on my Windows XP computer but it will not work properly on my Vista Laptop.

It works fine when printing multiple pages from Email or Web Pages but it refuses to print more than 1 page when using Microsoft Works.

Just reloaded the latest drivers today 02/02/2008 from Lexmark, but the same old story prevails. I've been trying to fix it for over a year now.

Guess I'll have to wait for the next set of DRIVERS. HA HA

From now on I will stick to HP printers.

Go to Lexmark Windows Vista driver download site i downloaded the driver from their site and it works for the printing side of the 8300 but not the scanning/coping side. You have to put in United Kingdom/United States to get the correct driver downloaded the 8300 is available via CD.

I can't get my Lexmark X8350 to communicate with my Dell computer. I've gone thru all the steps that Lexmark Solution Center suggests by checking the USB cable, the power cord, restarting the computer, uninstalling & reinstalling the Lexmark software, unplugging printer from power surge and plugging it single outlet, all to no avail. Please, please help me as I've had the printer too long to return it to place of purchase and I gave my HP (which worked fine but was older model) away. I want and need to print.
