My stove is blinking F-1 and beeping. It has been turned off for a while while painters were in the home

Most manuals have trouble shooting for f codes, if you don't have one look it up. If it is a touch screen maybe there is some paint on the panel?

I had to replace the control panel on my kitchen aid to fix it. Just a few screws and unplug and replug a few wires.

Hi jwwilliams8,

The F1 error code description is an electronic oven control failure. To fix this error, you need to replace electronic oven control (also called EOC or clock).

Hope it helps.

HI,
Disconnect power to stove
Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
Unplug the pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
Turn power back on to stove.
Watch for the F1 and the beep
If you see f1 and hear the beep its the ERC
If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.

I have a 19 year od kenmore electric stove and it keeps beeping F1. I can hit cancel and it will be od for alittle while then goes back to beeping. Any ideas?

You have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad.

Disconnect power to stove
Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire apx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
Turn power back on to stove.
Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
If after apx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.

NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part.

Hope helps.

Kenmore 8114p643 showing f1.

F1 is either a bad electronic control board or a bad touch pad.

You find the solution on :kenmore oven with "F1" error

    8. If after apx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.
NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part.
If you can't find a new ERC you can send yours to stove clock repair and get it repaired!"
