I have the Marvel 70 bottle wine cooler and it is making loud whining noise like if you put a stick in the wheel of spinning bike spokes when it is cooling down sometimes. it does not seem to be the fan and the cooler is a little over a year old.

I believe the 6SBAR has an evaporator fan located behind the evaporator plate ( the cooling plate) inside the unit. They had some issues with the bearings in those fans failing and will sound like a small jet engine sometimes (high pitched whine). When you hear the noise, open the door and if the noise level changes (either gets louder or goes away) then it is the evaporator fan. If your noise is coming from the compressor area and does not change when you open the door, it is most likely the condenser fan blade is loose. The evaporator fan looks like a small computer cooling fan and is located near the bottom center of the evaporator plate (out of site). The factory sells a replacement kit with a much better fan and new power supply. You can reach them at 800-223-3900. Good-luck.

I Have a Marvel wine cooler Model # 6SDZE100. The unit works perfectly fine except It makes a rubbing noise that happens approximately once an hour. The noise only last for about 3 seconds

Nothing to worry about. Make sure the fan isn't hitting the shroud around it although it is likely to be like a computer fan?

The beverage and wine coolers use small fans inside the units to circulate the air, force cold air into the unit, and exhaust hot air out...

Just plugged in my new 12 bottle Danby wine cooler and it hums, LOUDLY. Any idea why?

it might , it has a compressor and that would make more noise under a strain . refrigeration units strain when the box is warm. let it run and bring down the temp of the box and then see how much noise it is making . 12 hours should do it.

Beverage cooler making noise

There are small fans that they incorporate in those. If you can get to it put a drop of 3 in 1 oil on each end of the motor. Some of those little bottles of oil have a telescoping straw like piece that extends out a couple inches.

My 12 bottle cooler is still cooling OK but it is making a strange loud throbbing or pulsating noise. Is there something I can do to stop this noise?

Mine is too. It\'s the fans they are very cheap and I don\'t think you can find a replacement for them. It\'s the usual stuff made in China that we Americans buy.

I have a marvel wine cooler that frosts up and also tends to have temperture issues. Bottles on second shelf freeze. Temp adjustments to less cold make it too warm.

you have a restriction in the cooling side sounds like the filter line dryer is clogged up and will need to be replaced. Also the system will have to be recharged by a professional check to see if its in warranty.

Temperature control does not work. Unit freezes everything no matter where the temperature control is set (Marvel Wine Refrigerator)

Either the thermostat itself is bad, or the relay is sticking. If you break the connection between the T-stat and the relay, and it keeps runnning, the problem is the relay.

If the compressor stops running when you break the connection or disconnect the T-stat, then the T-stat needs to be replaced.

Noisey, loud shrill

If you just got the unit you should contact your dealer for warranty service. The only noise you should hear is a slight hum of the compressor and the soft blowing noise of the condenser fan. It sounds as if the evaporator fan on this unit is toast. That is also why is it having a hard time maintaining temperature. The temperature indicated is actual air temperature sensed so it will go up and down a couple of degrees above and below setpoint but when operating correctly the product temperature will be very stable.

If the servicer does not fully understand the new digital system, make sure he/she contacts the factory technical assistance rep. at 800-428-6644.
