I have a sony playstation 2 i do not know the parental password and i cannot watch movies my daughter bought becuz it will ask for parental control to be set to level 8 and u can only say yes or it will...

try passwords 1111 and 7444. these are known sony default passwords. if that doesn't help, unplug it and leave it like that for 72 hours. that should drain the charge enough so it "forgets" the password.

I got a used ps2 slim and i cant watch friday cause the level has to be 8 how can i change the password

I love that movie!! XD Yes, you can change the password. Here's how: 1. when asked if you want to play it, select 'yes'. 2. select 'yes' to change parental control level 3. important! if you don't know the passward, press 'select'. this takes you to the 'delete password' option. Enter '7444', then enter a new password. 'Register password' prompt appears. Re-enter new password and it should play the movie. This works on all PS2 models :D. NOTE: To ensure your new password is saved, you should EJECT the disc and then close the tray with the OPEN/CLOSE button BEFORE you POWER DOWN or RESET the PS2.

Passcode

Step 1
Place a DVD that prompts you for your password in your PS2. If you have any R rated DVDs sitting around, one of those should work just fine. It should prompt you for the password before anything else comes up.
Step 2
Select "Yes" to playing the movie and select "Yes" again to temporarily suspend parental controls. This is where you would put in the password if you knew it and the DVD would play. You may try "1111" at this point, as it is often the password. If that doesn't work, continue through the next few steps.
Step 3
Press the "Select" button on the screen that wants you to input the password. This should change the text on the screen from "Enter Password" to "Delete Password."
Step4
Input the numbers "7444" into the box on the screen. This is the universal password needed to delete the current password. Once you input the numbers, you should get a message that says "Deletion Complete." Press the "Select" button again and you should be prompted to enter a new password.
Step5
Enter a new password for your parental control. Make sure it is something easy that you will remember. Once you enter it in, you will be asked to confirm your new password. Enter it one more time and you should be able to watch any DVD you want.
hope it helps!please rate if it does!

Parental Control Feature on the PS2

3 answers for the price of one. Start a DVD, bring up the menu with select, and then go to Setup. It's in there. To get it to actually save, eject and take out the DVD (kicking it back to the setup screen) before you turn the power off when you are watching any dvd, hit select on the controller to bring up the onscreen menu. on the menu, under the number 7, there is a icon called setup. click it. hit right on the digital pad (on the controller) two times and you will be at custom setup. now, go down to the parental controll part and set it up to your liking. While in the "custom settings/parental control" options press SELECT and enter the 4-digit number "7444" whenever the parental control display asks you for your password. the old password will then be deleted.
