My ProShow Gold production on my ACER laptop (set

My ProShow Gold production (set up with aspect ratio 1024x768) on my ACER laptop (set to aspect ratio 1280x800) showed via a BENQ projector on to a screen with the images all showing narrower than they should. I had never had this problem with other projectors. How do I fix this?

I have asked a couple of gurus I know and they seem to think the solution is to set the laptop to aspect ratio 1024x768 to match the projector. Then change it back later. I am not in the position to test this unless it happens again with another projector somewhere else. What I wanted to know was how should they have set their projector. G.

What flatscreen monitor is OK to substitute for sanpo alphascan 520?

Hi. Almost all the crt type monitors should work, it's flat screen monitors that seem to give computers problems with aspect ratios, and resolution settings.

I personally use an NEC AccuSync 70.
It might not be the newest monitor in the world, but the colors are crisp, clear, and bright.
And It allows a setting of 1024x768@85 hz refresh rate, which works great for my games.

As far as flat screens, I would probably go with an Acer, or a Dell monitor, as these two companies seem to have better quality from their monitors than most other manufacturers.

I hope this helps you out!

I cant connect my acer laptop 1640 to 3M DIGITAL PROJECTORS...

you need to check a couple of things. First on projector, check input settings it should be PC/computer etc. Then check aspect ratio settings on your PC to make sure it's compatible with projector.

Can someone help me connect my Acer Aspire 3680?

Your graphics card on that should push that resolution so I would probably lean toward the tv. Try changing the aspect resolution or (zoom button) on the remote to change the way the screen is delivered. As long as the resolution on the laptop is a widescreen resolution and the same for the television. Make sure in your tv settings, that the aspect is set at 16:9.

Everything on the screen appears stretched

If you can, set the Screen resolution to the maximum native resolution your monitor supports by adjusting the slider. to 1680x1050, if you can set it to that, then Windows will automatically display at the proper aspect ratio, and the monitor will not have to stretch anything. Setting your screen resolution to match your monitor's native resolution is, by far, the preferred solution to get you the best looking display.
If that specific resolution is not available, then you'll need to try resolutions that are smaller than that, but ideally with the same aspect ratio. 1512x945, for example, would maintain the same aspect ratio. Not all monitors handle running at less than their optimal resolution well, and it may result in a slightly fuzzy display, but it won't be horizontally stretched. If this fails to fix the problem it could be a problem with your video card
