GE Profile Model PSS26LGSC Ice maker not working

Did the ice buildup appear to resemble the water overfilling the top of the ice maker? The only thing that I believe that may work is removing the ice maker, clean the excess ice buildup.dry and reinstall the ice maker and see it works. If the ice is above the normal level the ice can cause the motor that pushes the ice out of its slots to strain more than the gears or motor can handle stripping the gear or damaging the motor beyond repair, When harvest takes place the first thing that happens is a heater below the ice maker warms the cubes a little just enough to allow them to slide out of their slots and fall into the ice bin. The ice make for your model does not have replaceable parts and if bad or damaged it is less expensive and time consuming to by a new ice maker. If the water fills above the top of the ice maker it is usually the fault of the water control valve not closing all the way once it fills the ice maker after each harvest. Did water refill the ice maker when you cleaned it? Did the water overfill after you cleaned out the ice maker? What I am asking is water over filling ice maker again after you cleaned out the excess ice? If the water continues to flow from the WR57X10032 Water Inlet Valve

Kenmore WR30X0318 Ice Maker Stopped Making Ice

The ice maker uses a internal thermostat that starts the cycle of dropping the ice and refilling with tap water. If your water control valve works filling the ice maker then the problem is the ice maker itself that will need replaced. Unfortuantly the ice maker you have has no rebuildable parts and will need to be replace with a=> WR30X10093 Ice Maker Assembly

GE bottom freezer ice maker not working

Remember there are two sides to a dual water control valve, the water to dispenser side and the side that feeds the ice maker. Replace the WR57X10094 Dual Water Control Valve and I think you will be good to go on ice, Thanks Sea Breeze

My ice dispenser quit working

There are multiple components that can cause this.
Open the door and put your finger in the ice tray. Is there any ice or water in it.
If so then the problem is likely the ice maker.
If not then the water supply is either stopped up or the water valve solenoid is broke.
If their is ice then the ice maker may not be making ice for other reasons. Is the Ice Level arm down? If so, the Icemaker has a clock like motor that is actuated by a temperature sensor.

Ice maker calls for water, solenoid fills ice tray, temperature sensor gets cold over about 45 minutes and closes the motor circuit telling the icemaker to dump ice.

If everything is right and still doensn't make ice, some mechanical aspect or the icemaker appears to be broken.

Thanks for using FixYa, Good Luck.

My ice maker doesnt make any ice

check fill tube in back to make sure no frozen ice obstructing water flow... also make sure you have a clean filter on unit or it has been changed recently.... there are normally dual water valves on these models... one will work dispenser and one will work ice maker make sure your getting water to ice maker itself... if you are indeed getting water it just will not dump most likely you have a broken gear motor orthe heater in the ice maker has failed.. get another ice maker ....

Whirlpool Refrig. #ED5FHAXV - Ice Maker Stopped Working

you have a broken cam inside the ice maker module. it happens when the ice maker cant get enough water to completely fill the mold. you need to replace the i/m module with part #W10190935 about 75-100 bucks. also you might want to replace the water filter.

Frig.

Make sure you check your water supply and filter if you have one. Check the ice maker. Make sure the motor and gears are turning in the ice maker itself. As the ice maker goes through the cyle it activates the water solenoid for about 5-10 seconds at a certain piont to fill it. If the ice maker isn't running the ice maker will not fill.
