Push the reset button

Sometimes my Panasonic Mini DV will suddenly say Push the reset button, but as many times as I do this it keeps repeating that. I used to be able to take out the battery and it would work again but nothing works anymore. PLEASE POST ANY TIPS!! My NV GS15 Mini DV is indicating to push the reset button continuously. I removed the battery and put it back, then again it started blinking indicating to push rest button again. I pressed the reset button again. After one or two second it started indicating to push the rest button. I cannot open the cassette holder also.

This error indicates a cassette mechanism malfunction.
It happens usually when you don't operate the camecorder for long time
leaving the cassette inside and the battery attached.
Solution:
1. Open the cassette housing and nock GENTLY with your finger tip
on the cassette cabinet (particularly on the position marked "push") until
the cassette is released.
2. Push on the right place (marked "push") to close and then close the
cassette housing
3. Operate the cassette (play, fast forward/backward).
Repeat the above steps several times until the problem is gone.
Advise: Remove the battery and cassette when leaving the camecorder
for long period without being operated, and store the camcorder in a
dust/humidity protected place.
Hope this can help.

Error message "push the reset switch"

Pull the battery out to reset it. Get a DV tape cleaner to clean out the tape deck.

That should solve both.

ReSET BUTTON

The same happens from time to time with my panasonic NV-GS11 GC video camera and I have no idea what is causing it. But what I normally do is just turn it of wait 10 seconds and turn it on again. If it stil comes on try removing the tape and see if it is faulty.

So try turning it on in RECORD OR PLAY position.

Push the reset button

My camera has been doing this too, searched this site not through product but problem and found this solution posted by "margarita" for another camera. Said to try removing/replacing the tape. When I pushed the eject button the tape did not come up, removed the battery for a minute and tried again. This time the tape came up so I removed it and put it back in, it seems to have worked. The reset button is not flashing and it did record and playback when I tried them.

Panasonic PV-GS31 won't FOCUS

Just a hunch as sometimes the micro will get scrambled so take off the battery as well as the battery or batterys for the date and time. and let the unit sit for 24 hours power back up as see if that cleared your error If not send away to get repaired.
