If the music is already on your computer, it must be in mp3 format, do the following;
1) Open Windows media Player,
2) Connect your Disney Mix Max
3)Click "sync"
4) "Drag" song to where it says "Drag items here",
5) Click "Start Sync"

Well to down load, you have to have a USB. You can use a USB to charge your MIXMAX or plug it in the computer to add music. For me i downloaded imseh and used it to download my music. Or if you have your MIXMAX manual with you you can open and insert your CD. And the rest is up to you! :)

How do i download music on my mp3 player?

How to Put Songs on Disney Mix Max

The Disney Mix Max portable media player is capable of playing audio files in the MP3 format. It can also play videos formatted as WMV and display photos formatted as JPEG. You can convert audio files into MP3 using the Disney Mix Max software -- Mix It Plug-in. The plug-in works with Windows Media Player 10. This software CD came with the player and is not available online. To download music to the device, you can use Windows Media Player 10 or Windows.

Things You'll Need:

* USB cable
* Mix It Plug-In installation CD

Instructions

Convert Non-MP3 Files

Install Mix It Plug-In. Insert the Mix It Plug-in installation CD into the computer's optical drive. Click "Install Mix It Plug-In" when prompted. If no screen opens, double-click on the "My Computer" icon. Double-click on the installation CD icon. Then double-click on the setup or installation file; this file is often formatted as EXE. Select to have the program saved to your desktop. Then double-click on the desktop icon -- "disneymixitplugin" to open the setup wizard. Click "Next" in the setup screen. Follow any additional setup prompts.

Open Windows Media Player 10 and create a playlist. To create a playlist, click "Library" and select "Now Playing." Drag songs from your computer to the "Now Playlist List" pane. Click the "Now Playing List" title to open the menu and select "Save Playlist As." In the "Save As" dialog box, enter a name for the playlist and select "Save."

Open Mix It Plug-In. Select "Yes" when asked to save analysis information for your music files. The software will analyze each track's compatibility with the Disney Mix Max player.

Press "Go!" to start the conversion process. Once the process is complete, an inactive "Go!" will be displayed. All music that has been converted is still listed in your Windows Media Player 10 playlist. You are now ready to download music to the player using Windows Media Player.

Windows Media Player 10

Open Windows Media Player 10 on your computer.

Remove the USB jack cover located on the bottom of the Disney Mix Max. Insert the compatible end of the USB cable into the USB port on the Disney Mix Max. Insert the other end of the cable into the computer's USB port.

Click "Library" and click a playlist name. To create a playlist, click "Library" and select "Now Playing." Drag songs from your computer to the "Now Playlist List" pane. Click the "Now Playing List" title to open the menu and select "Save Playlist As." In the "Save As" dialog box, enter a name for the playlist and select "Save."

Select the "Sync List" tab and choose "Sync List" from the menu.
.
Verify the items to be synced to the Mix Max, or right-click on a song title and select "Delete" to remove it. Click "Start Sync" to download music to the Mix Max.

Windows

Insert the USB cable to the Disney Mix Max USB jack. Connect the player to the computer with the USB cable.

Click on the desktop "Start" menu and choose "My Computer."

Double-click on the "Removable Disk" that corresponds with your connected device.

Drag songs saved on your computer with your mouse into the Removable Disk folder.

Tips & Warnings

If you converted files using the Mix It Plug-In, you will need to use Windows Media Player 10 to sync them to the player.

Disney mix max problem

Connect your player to the USB port on your computer using the USB connector on the Mix Max. A 'MIX-MAX' window will appear in your My Computer folder which is the player's internal memory. To add more files and songs to your player simply drag and drop MP3 or WMA files from anywhere on your computer into the 'MIX-MAX' window.

For Windows XP, you can utilize Windows Media Player 10 software to convert music on an audio CD into MP3 or WMA format as follows:

Open the Windows Media Player 10 Browser, then click on the 'Rip' icon on the top tool bar. Insert a Music CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
Click on the 'Tools' menu option at the top menu bar, then click on 'Options'; the Option setting menu will appear. Click on Rip Music and set the Rip music to the desired location on the newly ripped music (MP3 format or Windows Media Audio format). Adjust the audio quality as desired. When finished, click 'OK' to confirm the settings.
Click on the 'Rip Music' icon to start ripping the music to your computer.
When the music tracks are ripped; connect the player to your computer. Open the 'MIX-MAX' window and open the ripped music location window.
To add the transferred/ripped music file/songs to your player simply drag and drop the MP3 and/or WMA files into the 'MIX-MAX' window.
When the files are finished loading into the player, follow the 'Safely Remove Hardware' procedure as shown below.
Note: For Windows 98SE, Windows ME, and Windows 2000, please use the Windows Media Player 9 to convert music on an audio CD into MP3 or WMA format.

Downloading WMA files with DRM using Windows Media Player 10 (for Windows XP)

To download WMA files with DRM, follow the procedure described below using the previously installed Windows Media Player 10. Before beginning the procedure please turn the unit on and connect the unit to the computer as previously described.

Open the 'Windows Media Player Browser 10' and click on 'Sync'.
Click on the 'Sync List' pull-down menu to locate the music files you wish to download. Then make sure to click the box next to the files.
Select the Portable Device that you want to copy to from the right side drop-down menu. Click 'Start Sync' to start downloading the WMA file(s) with DRM to the Portable Device.
After finished downloading all the desired files to your unit, follow the 'Safely Remove Hardware' procedure as shown below.
Note: For Windows 98SE, Windows ME, and Windows 2000, please use the Windows Media Player 9 to download WMA files with DRM to your player.

Disney Mix Max problems

The memory could be corrpt in the player. It some times happens so try reformatting the memory to clear it up. This will erase everything and then you can put your songs and stuff back on it. Here's a link to the manufacturers instructions on how to format the player.
