Picture messaging I have verizon wireless service for my xv 6700. I cannot receive/send pix messages. When someone sends me one I get a notice saying that there is a message waiting in my MMS Inbox, but when I click to view it i get an error message saying unable to retrieve message. I was on the phone with Verizon for over an hour and they couldn't fix the problem. Any ideas???

Yeah i have verizon and they say u have to have a Data Package which costs like 45 bucks in order to get ur pix messages and get on the internet... they have a 10mb package for like 25 but really the 45 for unlimited is the best and u dont have to worry bout goin over the 10mb... otherwise if u dont have either u wont be able to get pix messages... i hated that i had to get it but all in all its good to have... never know when u need the internet or to read ur emails

I've had the same issue, and I was told that in order to send or recieve picture messages, you have to subscribe to Verizon's Internet plan. The reason that you can still send and recieve text messages is because it's on a different system. I was a bit peeved when I found this out after the fact.

Unable to recieve picture messages

I have this problem once in awhile. It seems to happen when I am included in a group text or picture message. So if someone sends me a picture for example, but at the same time they send it to 3 others & you are included in that group, that's when I have issues. I have told everyone on my contact list, that I know it takes more time & that I am sorry for the inconvenience, but if they have something to send to me, they have to send it to me alone, separately, not in a group text. Try telling your contacts that & it should help.

Receiving text messages with pictures

This model not the best for doing & receiving pictures or texts. But I sometimes have issue above if someone has sent a message or a picture to me as part of a group message. I seem to have less issues if they send it to just me directly. Next time someone sends you one, text them back & ask them to send you pic/message seperately, not within a group & see if that helps

Cannot send or reply to text messages, but can receive them??

hi there!

if there's no error message and it just keeps on going to your outbox, sure you have load/minutes to send messages? hehe, do check on the message settings that you have, menu -- message -- message settings (or settings) then look for the preset number provided by your network provider (at&t, verizon, globe, smart) if you didnt change this before, dont change it now, just call your provider for the message settings. =)

Prevent internect connection on HTC 6900

Try start>settings>wireless manager and disable it from there, if your phone is set up that way. You do however need a data connection to send those picture messages.

Unable to send/rec pictures SE W850i

Hi,

I think the problem here is with your connection. I understand that you have the right settings from your operator...however you should check with them to see if your line is data enabled for MMS (this is how your pictures are sent....in an MMS message).

Can't send or receive picture messages

Ok, this solution hasn't been posted and I'm hoping it helps at least a couple of you. My fiancee & I both got EnV's at the same time, (him green, me orange) and he could send and receive pic msgs but I couldn't. Well, I finally figured out the problem with my phone. See, we live in a "non-coverage area", VERY rural part of Pennsylvania, where the only "bars" we get are the ones that say "1X III"; my fiancee works in a "coverage area" (bars read "ev xIII") about an hour drive from home; now, I actually had a knowlegable csr tell me that "coverage areas" may be my problem, so about 2 weeks later I went into the city which is in the "coverage area" and tried to send a picture message and to my surprise, ta-da! it worked! It has worked ever since, now, even from home I can send and receive pic msgs. On a separate issue in one of the posts above, someone said they got the notice "msg sent/rec'd failed" --THIS does happen sometimes from home, and after paying close attention I've noticed that it depends on the "call state" when you are sending/rec'ing the msg, meaning, it has to show the picture of the little cell phone WITH the flashing arrows in order for the msg to completely go thru. Sometimes, I have to go to the "sent" menu and it may take a couple of retries but it does finally go thru. Also, if anyone else has this situation, you may have to do the *228 from the "verizon coverage area" but just sending/rec'ing pic msgs or downloading games in the area should update your phone enough that you should be able to do all of the above from even "non-coverage areas." For those of you who are in "coverage areas" and are having this problem, I'm so sorry : ( , I don't know what could be the cause of your problem, I can only offer my advice of keep trying cust serv & try and find a knowledgeable rep. to help you. Hint, if they don't know what you're talking about right off the bat, tell them you have to go and then call back & try with someone else. A LOT of these reps will go through HOURS on a call-they are trying to help you but have NO IDEA what they are talking about. Don't waste your time on them, keep trying diff. reps til you get someone familiar with the prob. Good luck!

VX8300 pix messaging

The MMS service does't always work between networks, you sometimes have to retreive the pics via a PC.
I presume you received the MMS settings from your network service provider.

Unable to send and recieve pix

I believe that the problem is either with the service provider not receiving a strong enough signal therefore not sending the picture, or with the service providers delivery route number that may be incorrect. Call your service provider, they should be able to send your phone a service message that in turn should fix your problem. Hope this helps
