Webcam Installation problem

you can follow this simple steps to install your a4tech pk635 web cam :

Read the installation instructions completely before attempting to install the camera. Although this may seem tedious and unnecessary, it can save time and headaches in the long run.

Back up the computer's hard drive just to be safe. This will allow for a speedy recovery should the installation mess up the computer.

Install the webcam software with the disc that came with the camera, check the Internet for an updated version of the software and download that if available.

Plug in the webcam. The software should give a prompt at the appropriate time. Cameras are usually installed with a USB cable. If installed correctly, the computer will acknowledge so by popping up a message saying it can see the new device.

Download an instant message program if using the web camera for chatting.

uninstal the drivers of keyboard from device manager and restart the system

Try disconnecting the camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work. Hope this helps. Bud

I am trying to install ZSMC USB PC Camera (ZS211). When I tried
installing it in my Laptop (COMPAQ Presario V4000), i get message
Cannot Install this HArdware. There was a Probelm Installing this
hardware.

Here is Microsoft download drivers page. Select your model and download drivers for your camera.
Unplug camera USB when you start installing camera driver.

I actually htink the problem is with your camera.

There might be a problem with the communication between the camera and your computer`s usb port.

Check if the camera connects to a friend`s PC. If it does, you need to take the camera in for service.

9 times out of 10 I have found a shorted fuse on the main baord to the usb port. This should be a inexpensive repair, unless you need to replace the main baord. In which case first determine the value of the old camera versus a new model.
