THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE SETTING IN THE COMPUTER PROGRAM, BASICILY YOU ARE TYPING FASTER THAN THE COMPUTER CAN HANDLE AND I KNOW BECAUSE MY MOTHER CAN TYPE 90+ WORD A MINUTE WITHOUT MAKING ANY MISSTAKES.

*******************************************************8
***************IMPORTANT*********************

YOU ARE TYPING FASTER THAN THE COMPUTER CAN STORE IT SO IT SHUTS DOWN SO IT CAN SAVE WHAT YOU ARE WRITING, YOU MAY BE BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE SAVE TIME FOR YOU DOCUMENT FROM 15 MINUTES TO 2-5 MINUTES, THIS MEANS THE COMPUTER WILL SAVE THE DOCUMENT EVERY 2-5 MUNUTES INSTEAD OF 15 MINUTES, BUT YOU REALLY NEED TO CHANGE THIS SETTING AND THIS IS GOING TO BE UNDER THE ***REGEDIT ***OPTION
A PROGRAM OF WORD OR MICROSOFT ADMINSTRATER MAYBE ABLE TO HELP YOU
BUT NOT ME.

MSCONFIG MAYBE ANOTHER OPTIONS YOU CAN LOOK INTO.

YOU MAYBE ABLE TO GO ONLINE AND JUST ASKED THE WORLD HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND SEE IF ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

EXAMPLE:
TYPING TOO FAST AND COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN TO SAVE DOCUMENTS

Problem in scanned images uploading

If you have 50 units of computer working the same time such as uploading big files, the problem for the rest among your 7 computers that work fast is between the hub connectors on the network system. You can check this connectors by replacing those slow ones to that faster computers.
Then if your faster computers slow down and the replaced connectors from slow working bacomes fast then the problem is in your hub distribution connectors.
If you had trace to that problem, then replace the whole unit of hub connectors.

Hi d_smog,
If you can make it to windows then go to start-run and type 'chkdsk' and hit enter. That will run check disk.
But I don't think that running a check disk will solve the problem, I am guessing that could be either a virus; because you tell me that norton went down at the same time your PC went down, in this case I recommend formating the drive; or it could be that your PC's cooler stopped working and the PC is overheating which causes an automatic shutdown to prevent the components from breaking down, in this case I recommend testing your PC's cooler and changing it if necessary.

Dell Dimension 2400 Freezes frequently

check inside the case of the computer to make sure that the interface cable between the hard drive and the motherboard are fully connected. Also check to see if the RAM modules are fully inserted into their slots. If not, they try removing them one by one, until the computer starts up faster. If this doesn't fix it, then try a new hard drive, and interface cable.

Unanounced system shut down

The next step that I would recommend is to use the Admin Tools in the Control Panel and select Event Viewer. Check out each of the three logs and see which one has an event with the red X at the time of the shutdown. High light it, and you should be able to see what program, if any, caused the problem. That should give you more information that may be more specific and help you track down the actual culprit.
