SOURCE: No sound through M-Audio preamp and condenser mic
Hi micoach
The condenser mic you are using requires phantom power for it to operate. Pay to check that that is turned on m-audio. Just to be sure.you say you can get sound off the m-audio headphone socket. Just need to check that. You will need to check that you have selected the device for recording from the preferences--audio I/O options menu within audacity. Perhaps check these things and get back to me here if you still have problems.I can go into more detail with you.

You must connect:
the mixer output to the "line|optical" input of the Transit
the mixer input to the line (in case of an analog signal) or to the optical (in case of a digital - optical signal)
The USB connector on the other side is going to be connected at the USB port of the pc.
Just keep in mind that the signal flow goes as the arrows on the Transit.
In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.
Thanks and regards

Try the speakers on another computer, to see if they work at all. If they do, then the problem is the audio-interface on your computer (or DVD-player, or home-stereo system).
