Filter cleaning issue

Where is the filter on this TV? We have looked in all the suggested places and have had no success. We continue to get a message about the filter needing cleaning and the TV shuts off. We have also tried the suggestion about holding down the buttons to reset the TV. We could never get the the message that we should've gotten. And after about an hour the message returned. We are totally at a loss and are in great need of some help. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem with the TV shutting off. But even before that I had red, green and blue spots on the screen. Could this dirty air filter be causing that as well? Thanks.

I have the same tv and have downloaded the service manual to find out where the filter's hidden somewhere in the back with the projector unit which will cost you about $1600.00 if you need to replace it. Here's what I did...I took the bottom back cover off and got out my small air comp. and cleaned out all of the dust. It's working fine now...I just need to figure out how to reset it b/c I keep getting the air filter needs cleaning message and the tv cuts off but I turn it back on and it's fine until the next time. So if you know how to reset it please lemme know.

So, this worked out Fantastic!! Thanks to whomever ('Guest' maybe??) put in the "Best Solution" info. So, 144 q-tip tips, 72 q-tips ends, 36 q-tips (if you use both ends of the q-tips, top and bottom), 1 cup of water, 1 good vacuum and 28 min. later, it's fixed!! Of course, this does not count the 10 min. it took to figure out that when you take out the two screws, the Black Box right in front of you is the fan. Yep, that's it. Yea, it took a few to figure it out. I started out by looking for a fan, that I figured out is inside that Big Black Box. And that 'rectangular black flat pad' on the left is the filter as well as the 'big black flat pad' that you can barley squeeze a Q-tip into underneath the entire black box. But I saved a ton of $$$. Hey 'Philbo' tell that repair man to go back to school and give you a refund.

We found the air filter. Make sure the TV is unplugged. If you take the silver panel off of the front of the tv you will find two panels that can be removed by pulling out a couple of screws. The panel on the left with one screw holding it up is where the bulb is. The panel on the right with two screws holding up is where the fan compartment is. There are two filters in this compartment. On the top left side of the fan compartment you will find the first filter. The other filter is on the bottom of the fan compartment. The filters are just black foam pads. I used some damp Q tips to clean the air filters and vacuumed everything out when I was done. Make sure the Q Tips aren't too wet. After cleaning the filters, leave the tv unplugged for a while so it will reset and you should be good to go. Let me know if this doesn't help you. FYI, I didn't have to remove the fan housing, I was able to clean everything with it still attached, it just took some time...

Try making sure that your cable box is turned on (if you have one) then try the volume down button (on the tv) at the same time as the tv/video button (on the remote).
If that works please post back about how you got past the first menu that does not allow you to reset the air filter hours...
We have the same issue and we cannot get past that menu.
I don't think we have an air filter???

I can't get the filter to stay in after cleaning

Hi Patty, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC59 Motorhead's pre-filter is engineered to easy to remove for its monthly wash, but should also stay in place securely once it's replaced. In use, the filter will be held in place by the vacuum's powerful suction. When carrying the vacuum from room to room, we'd recommend keeping the machine horizontal, and to avoid carrying it upside down or vertically. It's also worth checking that the black rubber seal itself is clean and correctly positioned.

If the issue continues, I would encourage you to contact our experts directly so we can provide further assistance. You can reach us by calling 1-866-693-9766 (US) or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

My dryer keeps saying Lint Filter Problems and cutting off however the lint filter is clean. Because of this issue I the dryer will not stay on long enough to actually dry the clothes. It continuously...

try two things. first, run it empty without the lint filter installed. if it gives you the same error message, install the filter, but disconnect the flexible duct connected to the back of the dryer. try it again. if it still wont work, you will have to get it serviced and cleaned out. if it works with the ducting removed from the back, your dryer duct is clogged up. check your yellow pages for dryer duct cleaning. The lint filter error message is just your machines way of saying it is not getting enough air flow. It can be caused by a clogged duct also.

The TV keeps shutting down due to over heating. Is there something that needs to be cleaned?

Yes you need to clean the AIR FILTER located in TV.

Please follow the steps below to clean it.

1. Turn the television off and unplug the AC cord.
2. Locate the dust filter on the left side panel of the TV.
3. Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws that hold the dust filter cover in place.
4. Remove the filter cover, set it and the screws aside.
5. Carefully remove the filter from the TV.
6. Clean the filter material by dusting with a lint-free cloth.
7. If the filter is soiled, you can rinse it with water. Do not use detergents or soap on the filter.
8. Completely air dry the filter before placing it back into the TV.
9. Replace the filter cover and secure with the screws.
For showing location i have attached a image.

Panasonic dlp new bulb clean filter error message reset info not

For the Air Filter message, the filters are located inside the unit, if already cleaned, perform a reset of the unit, Press Hold, VOL - on set and TV/Video on remote for about 5 sec. If a Lamp timer reset message, try VOL - on the set and Mute, Move or PIP on the remote (try all three)

Dirty dishes on lower rack

Please confirm that you own an LG LDF7811 dishwasher and it is not cleaning properly.
-Are you getting any error codes displayed? -Did you remove the mesh filter and clean any debris beneath it plus rinse out the filter itself?
-Are you using a name brand diswashing powder? Avoid ultra-cheap detergent, especially in water-conserving units like the LG 7811. Never use DW gel or tablets in any dishwasher.
-Do not over rinse the dishes before placing them in the DW. The food granules actually are used to clean all the dishes before being rinsed away.
Please try these suggestions and reply to this message with what worked best and if the problem continues. Good Luck!

Air Filter Cleaning

Call the factory for an authorized servicer near you, your TV guy doesn't understand Panasonic...

If the lamp thermal sensor is active, the fans just keep running because it thinks the thing is hot (to save an expensive part from exploding). It does not give any error message.

Fan 1 is used for air filter detection. (It's essentially the same run-sensor type fan used in their stereos.) Fan 1 plug P2902 at the right side of the light engine board may not be making good contact or the fan is not running. The micro must get the proper feedback signal from that fan to keep it happy.

Good luck, Mark
