I am successfully using my old Quasar VM-D51 camcorder as a WebCam and it works great. My computer has a TV Capture Card with an analog input (I am using the RCA plug on it). The camera has a output connection on the lower right side (just below the hand strap). You will need a mini plug to RCA adapter to make the transition.
