Windows vista wont install

My new dell with windows vista cant find the drives or program when i try to install philips web cam cant get camera to work with Vista, any downoads out there that will help thankls

Thanks... I have dl all updates since I have had vista.. my logitech cam works but my new Philips SPC 600 will not I have tried many times to dl but it wont, I have emailed Philips, am now just waiting, says it could take 3 days for a response lol.. Thanks alot for your help..

Sum cams just wont work with vista have u dl all vista updates and add on updates add those in to dl list try to go to web site they dont have any for vista hu u can try to dl sp1 for vista but i think trial period for testers is done best bet buy new oen thats works iwth vista

try when you install, to install in xp compatibility mode. check under HELP to see how you can do this. hope this works. ps. before you install, right click the program you are installing,under preoperties and choose compatibility with win xp; then install it.

Hi Isisas. You should try downloading and installing the Vista-compatible driver for the 600NC web camera. You can get to it by clicking here. Scroll down to the sixth item on the page to find the driver you need.

Hi soleillee,

Yeah this is most likely a driver problem. You see the drivers from windows xp wont work with windows vista. It is very likely that your camera was not made with vista drivers if it is more than a year old. Unfortunately without a windows vista drivers your camera wont work. so you have two options:

1- find out if the camera has a vista drivers and install them
2- buy a new camera ( i know its frustrating)

And if i may recommend the logitech cameras, they are sturdy and the mid range ones have great picture, and best of all there tech support is easy to find when you want a new driver.

Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.

Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
