I got this from a friend and the transistors on the back were bad so I replaced them now when it powers up i get 12 volts then it dropsto 2.5 or so in a matter of 5 to 10 seconds and the overload light comes on what is causing this???I have a schematic but it says to refer to owners manual for the light but I dont have one. Please let me know ...Thank you
The problem I have had with a PS-20 is a blown capacitor. Hooked to a radio, would allow radio to receive fine, but when trying to transmit, amperage would bottom out. Behind the transformer is a large circuit board. UNPLUG POWER SUPPLY, remove cover, Undo the two nuts, flip board over, and gently rock the 4700uf capacitors side to side. If they move more than 1/16th of an inch, chances are they are blown. Remove/replace and should be good to go...
Can someone send a copy of the Pyramid PS21-KX power supply (schematic diagram) so I can troubleshoot major problems. Thank you.

There are obviously more bad parts inside that need replacing.

I have a simular problem with low voltage on the PS-21 KX 12V 20A DC power supply. I think I might be able to troubleshoot the problem but I don't have a schematic diagram. Can someone e-mail a copy to me. Thanks

I have a pyramid phase III 25 amp supply. When I use 15 watts or less my supply works o.k., but when I go to 50 watts the voltage drops from 14.8 to 9.2 volts. Also, 2 of the pass transistors do not heat up. I have no schematic, sure would appreciate a copy or a solution. Thanks, david
i am trying to run my kenwood radio (ham radio) on this supply but get no sound but when i hook it up in my car the radio works perfect
