Fahrenheat baseboard heater knobs

I am looking for the thermostat knob or dial for these heaters. I have several rental houses and the knobs with off, low, med and high, are disappearing. I don't need the metal piece is sits on. I'm looking for about 6 knobs. I do need the one square metal piece on the end that doesn't have the knob. heaters are tan. Can you help me?

Go to a radio shack to find replacement knobs. get something called a "bar knob." this has a set screw which holds the knob on the thermo shaft. use a marker and print lo med high and off on the unit or use a brother p touch label maker.

No luck finding a new knob, but went to lighting department (Lowes) and purchased a two pack of dimmer switch replacement knobs. gently forced one onto the the heater and marked Lo, Med Hi with marker. Low cost solution. ($1.76)

I have a baseboard heater in my apartment (small dining area) that has a dial that I can control the heat..the knob has #1-10...what is a good number to set it to and do I keep it on all the time. Thanks...

Hi!
The number you keep it on is whatever temperature that is comfortable to you. The settings on the dial are graduated from #1(lowest-coolest) to #10(warmest). If you want to keep the room temperature somewhat even you need to play around with the settings( one number at a time) until you find what is comfortable to you. Hope I was of help to you.

Thermostat for Fahrenheat 5000Watt Ceiling mount heater

You could do it. It would mean serious wiring though and you should use the factory thermostat because it is designed to operate on 240 Volts. Or you could use a remote thermostat at low voltage to throw a relay in the heater and get it to come on. The manual has good diagrams on how it is wired and it would not be too hard to do. IT would operate just like the outside unit on an HVAC system .

Smells like burn't plastic.

This is for the LFP6152E electric heater. I called tech support (800.642.HEAT), and explained the problem. I was told it was a diode that went bad, and they're sending me a repair kit. I guess I'll keep this number handy for the next few years.
