Help the ethernet cable dont fit in my pc

Hello there,
You dont do that with a usb cable it is done with a LAN/Ethernet cable. Connect the ends to the ethernet port on both pc's. If you dont know d ethernet port, look at the ends of the ethernet cable, then check all the ports on the pc's for which is the receiver, ie the port where it would fit into perfectly. Then, you would go to Networks on any of the PC's. You would see the other pc as a network, where the network name is the pc name. To access any, click on the network. Eg, to access the pc from the desktop, click on the pc (the user name) from the desktop, viceversa. When you click, you would see the different users on the pc, if they are more than 1. Select the user that you want to get data from, if it asks for password, enter the username's password. Then you can continue with your file transfer.

This is an older laptop that comes with a modem (RJ-11 on the back), not an ethernet adapter onboard. You can try to get a PC card ethernet adapter (type 2 or type 3 fit the slot) or a USB ethernet adapter. The USB port was not available on models that came with WinNT.

you need a pcmcia Ethernet card because it sounds like your computer isn't equipped with Ethernet.

If you mean the ethernet cable that plugs into the back of the computer, please look at the photo below. 
the similar but slightly smaller modem socket may be also present, but don't worry as the ethernet cable won't fit as the sock is smaller.

Have you tried a different cat 5 cable? Sometimes the cable goes bad. So try a different ethernet cable

You need something called an ethernet cable. One end of the cable goes in the router and the other end goes in the ethernet poet of the computer.

If you dont have an ethernet port on ur pc u may need to pay an ethernet pci card like this and get it installed on your computer

Ethernet cables must be placed the right way round. Make sure that you are using the ethernet socket - it looks like this.

If it is an older computer you may not have an ethernet port. It is possible to install one - you will need to buy the necessary hardware.

It could also be that your ethernet cable is broken, or that you have the wrong cable. You can buy a new one from amazon.

You might be trying to plug the ethernet cable into the modem. This is smaller than the ethernet connectionbut looks the same. If there is no ethernet connection on the computer you might need to have a NIC card install.

Ethernet connection is a LAN or a CAT cable
One end of that cable will connect at the back of ur router box that u will have with u or u will get it from ur ISP .
and the other end of that cable goes to the back of ur pc in the jack which says LAN or try to plug it in any socket which fits properly.
u will a light that will start flashing at the back of ur back when u plug that cable in
to check whether u system supports ethernet connection or not
1. right click on my computer
2. goto properties
3. goto hardware
4. goto device manager
5. u will find network adapters there
click on the plus sign on the left side of network adapters
plus sign will change to minus
under network adapters look for an ethernet adapter or network controller
or 10/100 or 10/1000 fast ethernet NIC ( network interface card )
if u have one , then ur pc supports ethernet connection
U just have to connect the ethernet cabel to ur router box and at the back of ur pc and u just have to open internet explorer and ur internet would start working...
if u dont have ethernet cable with u or ur system does not have an ether net socket in ur system , u can goto any computer shop and get an ethernet cable and a socket for ur system
If u dont want to do that , u can go for a USB cable connection with ur pc or a wireless connection....
