have you changed the lamp recently, or cleaned the air filter.
The internal fuse may be blown, or a whole lot of other things may be wrong, so we need more information otherwise it's off to a technicain to check it out.
Hi, Check the lamp cooling fan of your projector. maybe its has some problem. its not running at the correct RPM. that's why the lamp get over heated and the temp lamp flashes.Do
one thing, Remove the fan from the projector. In the fan there will be a
specification sticker. Remove the sicker. now u can see a hole in the
center. its the bearing part of the fan. put one drop of oil in it. u
can use any type of lubricating oil. rotate the fan leafs with finger
for some time. after that re-stick the spec sticker. insert the fan in
the projector. power ON the projector and watch.
Also try to reset the lamp hour of your projector. you can see the option for reset the lamp hour in the menu. Please not one thing lamp reset is recommended only after replacing the lamp. ok
Yes, it can be replaced; but Dell replacement parts are very hard to find. Also, it is tricky to open the equipment and not damage any other parts during the process. If you don't work on electronic equipment, I would take it in for service. Other suggestions on the web say to buy a used one for replacement parts if you want to do the work, because they cannot find service manuals or parts - except for bulbs. The color wheel for my Toshiba was $160, and the lamp was bad at the same time.
I think this is a lamp issue. Even though your lamp might have an advertised time of 3000 hrs from Dell, it can fail and dim a lot earlier than that. Often within 1000 hrs a projector lamp's brightness can be reduced by up to 40%. Projector lamps brightness and lamp life varies according to how you use your projector and the environment it is in. Our company sells projector lamps and has created a YouTube video to help people get the most out of their projector lamps. You can see the video below. If you decide to buy a new lamp we have the lamp you need in stock at Projector Lamp Experts.
Im not sure sounds like its something internal thats not related to the lamp reset (board or component failure). I have a totally different problem. I have a bad dlp chip and need a donor unit to replace if you dont get this fixed and want to sell it email me @[email protected] and let me know. Good luck thx sean
OK first thing if you have broken the disk on a DLP projector, you can not repair with out specialist equipment to set it up, as for your other ones it sounds like your lamps are faulty, you must not use lamps over the rated hrs or you will damage the projector, if you want more help just ask me but unfortunatly in am in the UK so cant vist.
Before a modern projector will strike the lamp it will check if the lamp is good either by remembering how many hours the lamp has been used or by measuring it with its own internal circuitry. if the test fails it will not strike the lamp because starting a bad lamp can potentially damage the projector and surrounding property.
Is the lamp old? Does it need to be replaced? if not then it may be a logic board and now requires service from a trained repair technician that has access to the parts it may need.
Have the same problem here. Have two of these units. Took the bulb out of the one that had the Lamp light on, and put it in the other projector. The other projector worked perfectly. I have three bulbs, they all work in the one projector, they all cause Lamp Light in the other one. The manual states nothing about hard resetting the unit. Also note that, the fans do not power up instantly on power on, they come on about 5 seconds after pressing the power button.
