Question about Washing Machines
Will not pass through cycles. If put on Normal wash at 12 minute mark stays there. Can move to rinse and it will rinse but won't pass through to spin; can manually move to spin and it will spin. Please help!!!!!
Water does not shut off. tub overflows.

The timer is faulty and needs replaced.
There is a possibility that only the timer "motor" is bad. This motor can be replaced. Listen at the timer knob. If the motor is running you can generally hear it this way.
Because of the age of this machine it is best to replace the timer

If you think the wash load is in a spin cycle of the wash cycle or rinse cycle place the machine in Spin Only cycle and see if it will complete.
