NOT ALL DISCS WILL PLAY ON ALL DVD'S. IT'S THE NATURE OF THE BEAST. TRY PLAYING THEM ON A MORE EXPENSIVE DVD PLAYER. THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT PROTOCALLS USED BY THE DIFFERENT COMPANIES.

I have a GE CG818A Camcorder, when I play it it only plays black and white. Was wondering if there is a used Sony or any camcorder that would play my Video8 P6-120MP tape, in color.

I have the exact same camera and same exact same problem. Any analog Video8 or Hi-8 camcorder or VCR will play these tapes.

By using the same cassettes as Hi8, many (NOT ALL) Digital8 (produced by Sony exclusively) camcorders are able to play analog Video8/Hi8 recordings, preserving compatibility with already recorded analog tapes.

you can connect Digital8 camcorders to your computer to download your movies for editing or Internet use.

As of 2008, Digital8 camcorders have been removed from the equipment offered by Sony.

I have a daewoo dv6 3000 and it wont play my burn dvd as i use a vcd burn

Hello Babs12555,

The reason it will not play is because a vcd is a (video cd) and your dvd player may not support that format.

The only way to burn a movie is to use a dvd compatible format. Nero has a program called nero vision which is what I personally use to burn dvd's.

The following is a tutorial on how to use Nero Vision to burn dvd's

Hope this helps you with your problem feel free to post back if you need any additional help. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

The best way to play burned movies is to copy them onto a memory stick or external hard drive then copy them onto the ps3 i use this method and find the movies play in much higher quality than dvd-r or+r or whatever discs you use

Can't record audio

I have converted home videos on my PC this way. I have a Sony camcorder whose output connects
to my firewire card in the PC. I also use windows Movie maker. While it is recording, I don't hear the audio. After saving the file and playing it back, I hear the audio, along with seeing the movie. Windows movie maker allows me to stop, start, and record the movie. It has complete control over the
Sony camcorder by using the firewire port on the PC.

Copied dvds will not play on other dvd players

Are you using DVD+R or DVD-R to burn the movies to? DVD+R is what you want to burn movies to for best quality and DVD-Rs are for like pictures and documents etc (even though you can also burn those to a DVD+R). Secondly, most movies that burn are played back in MP3 format, make sure your dvd playing is capable of playing MP3s.

What exactally do you mean by you bought 2 different types of blank videos?

Toshiba D-VR610KU recorded disc won't play in my Daewoo DVD5800

What are the compatible types of DVD's that the Daewoo DVD5800 player is supposed to play? Is DVD-R among the compatible types? Try playing the new recordings on a computer that has a DVD drive, or a friend's computer.
