F10 error is: Runaway Temperature

what you can do:

1. (F10 only) Check *RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive.

*RTD SCALE
Temperature (F) Resistance (ohms) 32 1.9 1000 4.0 75 2.5 1091 5.3 250 4.4 1453 8.9 350 5.4 1654 10.8 450 6.9 1852 13.5 550 8.2 2047 15.8 650 9.6 2237 18.5 900 13.6 2697 24.4

hope the chart dont get jumpled if it does go to

please rate this and check fixya if it has answered what the f10 error is. for safety reasons I wouldn't use it if it tends to keep getting way over heated until you have replaced what I said above or have had it serviced.

Kenmore gas oven built in. It has F10 Error Code on the control panel display.

Question edited for clarity.

You need a service call. It's dangerous.

The F10 code on a Kenmore oven means that the oven is overheating - the oven is detecting a temperature far over the safe range of operation. Most models also start beeping when this happens since it can be a safety concern.Apr. 14, 2020

My Frigidaire oven shut off due to an f10 error which should I replace first since I have no tools to measure.ohms... sensor or EOC?

Good Morning mark, thank you for your post!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire range is displaying an error code of "F10". An "F10" error code normally stands for a runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. If you continue to experience an issue with the "F10" error code I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home for proper diagnosis and replacement of any electrical components. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this information has been helpful. -Matt

Digital display is reading F10 and beeping and the oven shuts off after burning Banana Bread I also had smoke coming out the back panel of the stove top

Hello,

The F10 error code means that a button on the touchpad is stuck. The error code can be cleared by pushing the cancel/off button and if the F10 returns the clock needs to be replaced since on that model the touchpad is part of the clock.

Was cleaning oven and error code F10 appeared what is a error code F10?

hello there"
The "F10" error code caused by the runaway temperature.

The first thing I would check is the resistance across the oven temperature probe (aka oven temperature sensor) terminals at the EOC (electronic oven control) plug.

It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If the resistance at the EOC plug is wrong, then measure the oven temperature probe resistance at the probe plug.

If it's wrong - replace the oven temperature probe. It's better to hardwire it, using a high temperature ceramic wire nuts.

If the readings at the EOC and at the oven temperature probe plug are different - check the wire harness between the oven temperature probe and the EOC.

If there is nothing wrong with the oven temperature probe resistance - replace the EOC.

- The part number for the oven temperature probe is AP3704441

- The part number for the EOC is AP3776874

- The part number for the EOC overlay is AP3778486
