My 2600n laser printer had a paper jam in the outbox bin. I took the stuck paper out and had a look inside. I see no other paper jam but the printer keeps telling me I have a paper jam in the outbox. Help

This could be a fuser issue or a paper exit sensor issue. Please take out the fuser and check the pressure roller. Be careful, the fuser is extremely hot.

The output bin sensor check the quantity of printed paper that remain in the upper part of the printer. When the paper is too much, the sensor report a paper jam.

Check the lever of the sensor in output bin if it's working properly

Turn off the printer and open all access doors to take out the paper that is stuck inside; make sure to take it out in one piece. If after doing this it still shows a paper jam error, please let me know.

I want to ask u one thing how this problem occure any bdy hv open the fuser if so then check the o/p bin flaps stucks inside open & refix them ur problem hv resolved

Hi. I would suggest cleaning your printer on the inside and removing any blockage from rollers or look for any peace of paper that's clogging any device inside your printer. Also try pressing all the sensors inside to check if they are not stuck or something. Hope this helps

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

Make absolutely sure there actually is no paper jammed in there. 
I came to this page with the same warning, convinced I had a software glitch. Turned out there was a page accordion-folded down to the size of a pencil lead. I didn't know paper could be folded that small. 
Of course, everyone here may be a lot brighter than I am, in which case sorry to waste your time. But for me, the obvious first fix needed to be thoroughly explored before cursing HP and their machine.

If you are getting a paper jam error, but no paper inside- Check your Pick Up rollers in the paper tray and then check for any stuck flags in the printer.
