Installing SQL server and VB.NET on VISTA Home Basic

While attempting the installation of SQL Server 2000 and VB.NET 2005 Vista Home Basic showing error of compilation,
How to over come this problem?
I would prefer that I won't have to Remove vista .

Vb.net is fine its your sql that will mess things up

Softwares pre installed are not responding
From lenovo side no SQL server and .Net programes are given and might be they are loaded by your dealer.Secondaly you might be using vista home basic or home premium for the same and on both the OS neither SQL server nor .Net is supported so either you will have to use xp prof or vista business to use the both.
