Running Toshiba A200 with Vista Home Basic. When I plug my TZ3 into a USB port it is not recognised by the computer. Message comes up saying that computer needs software installed. Surely the necessary USB drivers are already in Vista. Is this a problem related to security settings? Can anybody help?
Thanks
John
TZ5 same problem - all software up to date.
I had the same problem but found that my computer had a slot for the SD card so I could download the photos either through Windows or through the Photoviewer software.
I haven't been able to find the drivers etc. for the a200 for Vista, its an old camera. Still working on it, but so far, no cigar.

The Toshiba A200 is my notebook computer, and the Panasonic Lumix TZ3 is a new model camera.
I have an Acer Laptop which has Vista Home addition installed and it doesn't reconise my camera either DMC - TZ3 Panasonic. HELP
I recently received an email from Toshiba Suppoprt which advised that there was a very recent Windows Update that addressed this problem. If you update your Vista OS withWindows Update you should find the problem is resolved, as I did.
