The leak is from the defrost function coming on. The water is supposed to drain into a pan under the unit but the drain hose might be plugged. The ice maker is something else.
Possibly it is because fridge is not cooling correctly(Ice cubes hollow).. Suggest proper defrost. if it is cooling partially, it shows cooling is trying to take place (Make sure before you switch on after defrost, check for proper water drainage.Water must flow to the compressor once defrosted.Take note if the fan runs correctly.
The cubes are hollow? Means not enough water coming in on the fill cycle to fill the metal ice tray (netal form, see solution #2). There should be an adjustment under the end cover, looks like a screw with a spring around it. Look inside the cover and see if the directions are there for adjusting it properly.
Make sure when the icemaker fills its not causing the leak ...... other than that you have a clogged drain in the freezer section .... easiest way remove everything unplug for 24 hrs with door open .... manual defrost ....hehehe ..... plug back in u should be ok if reoccurs call for service
Whats happening is the ice isnt freezing all the way. Try cleaning your condensor's under the frig.In Hotter weather when condensor's get filled with dust it causes the frig to cycle to ofeten. In turn your cubes aren't freezing all the way.
okay....i used to be an employee at Vinothque and these piece of **** units are always and I mean always running low on refrigerant, due to a slow leak in the system. You will have to get tech to come out and recharge the unit
Hollow ice is a dead give away that there is not enough water filling the trays. Check that the line isn't pinched from pushing the unit back in place, etc. Also check any filters or filter screens in the water line to the ice maker.
