Hi There ,
Try restoring from restore point if possible. You should be able to pick a date and restore. If it came with restore cd or if there is a seprate partition on the hard drive you could also use that...
Hope this helps

I need to restore my Acer T690 to factory setting. The acer had problem booting so I used windows XP bootable disc and it had replaced the operating system. I have recovered my data. Now I need to restore...

Assuming the Recovery Partition hasn't been disturbed, boot the machine and press ALT + F10 at the same time. You will enter a recovery phase that will give you the option of restoring to factory settings. If the Recovery Partition HAS been either disturbed or wiped out, you will not be able to restore to Factory Settings without a set of disks from Acer.

Acer Aspire 5920 problem

Your best play is to restore the machine to the factory settings. To do this, power up the machine and immediately press ALT+F10. From there you will enter Acer eRecovery Management which will give you the option of returning the machine to the factory settings.

WARNING:
This will erase everything you had stored on the machine!! ie data files, pictures etc...

Restore to factory default

Perform a system recovery:
Acer computer's do not ship with recovery CD's - there is a program that allows you to burn the disks or recover.
3 ways to recover:

1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer empowering technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Restore to factory default settings"
2. Or click on Burn disks instead of Restore
3. If unable to boot into Windows then tap Alt/F10 during boot right after Acer splash screen when starting up the computer.
4. This will start the Acer E-recovery program - choose Factory Default Settings and follow instructions.
